SPECTOR® Club - Part 27

I've never seen one.

David Z from ZO2 and Trans-Siberian Orchestra played a 6-string when he was in one of my former bands, and it looks like it would be a USA bolt-on, but no crown inlays. The pics aren't setup for direct linking so take a look at this page:

Haven't seen too many like that.
 
Pay very close attention to polarity (+ & -) as the color code is reversed on the battery harness to preamp harness connection.

Physically, the diagram is correct.
The upwards facing clip is incorrectly labeled backwards, but is physically correct.
It's a small labeling mistake. The actual physical orientation of the wires and clips is correct though.

First let me say I am no way a electronics guru.
I am more of a follow that diagram person.

Anyone looking to do this, dont get spooked by all the Series/Parallel talk

I was scared to try this the first time as I thought I would blow something up. lol :hiding:

If you follow this diagram exactly it will work.

Isn't the diagram actually correct?

In simple Laymans terms
On a 9 volt battery the (small connector) is labeled as +
and the (large connector) is labeled as -

In the 18-volt diagram the upward connector that is attaching to the orig wire harness
the (small connector) is labeled as (+)
and the (large connector) is labeled as (-)
So that connector is a like a big double battery after the series connections of the 2 other batteries.

Its visually confusing as the (-) is on a red wire and the (+) is on a black wire.

yes, The diagram is physically correct as well as the color code for the upward facing connector that connects to the original battery connector.
what's wrong is the + & - designation on the upwards facing connector, because the upward facing connector is the same as the others - black wire is Neg and red is Pos.
If the connectors are actually marked + and - (not all are marked as such) then the "sign" is backwards but the colors are correct.
since that connector is inverted to mate with the stock battery connector, you must follow the color code routing in the center and Purple circled diagram to achieve a Series circuit.

All of this along with Trace's response: Man, this is why I never try anything like this. Looks painfully simple, then the diagram is wrong, and this or that, and if done wrong, a mushroom cloud explosion will result and mice will grow a third ear....<facepalm>

Okay, so not exactly spector related, but I figured I'd ask for opinions here anyway. Right now, I'm building a rack rig. This is what I have so far:

I have two spaces open, I was thinking of a Sansamp RBI or RPM, maybe even a PSA-1 if I can find one cheap and a rack compressor, but would I be better off getting these pieces in a 2u rack drawer and pedal form? Maybe a VT bass and some kind of pedal compressor?
