Non related....
I made a new logo for the band :)
I've always loved the Ouroboros symbol and concept. The reason for the "Asian" looking font is because our Keyboardist is Japanese and the Guitarist / Vocalist is part Asian as well :P

I just finished an intense battle between the Ampeg SVT2 pro and the Thunderfunk 550b with a Tech21 sans amp pedal. the Thunderfunk won in my opinion. The Svt has a very, very slight edge on the growl but the Thunderfunk with the pedal had more punch and clarity on the notes....both played through a Bergantino NV425....Also one weighs 15.5lbs and the other 70 lbs.....Guitar Center will be getting back the SVT soon.
I'd love to hear a Spector through your Thunderfunk if you have any clips - paired with the Berg, that's a really sweet rig!

Cool logo!

There are some very easy steps to get your head and hand to work together....all starts with the motion of the thumb and how you use your wrist and not your forearm...

I will try to hook you up...Get on the Facebook page and I will continue to post vids there....New ones will start later in the week. I will start with the slap basics to help those of you who have asked...

That would be great if you can post slap basics. :hyper: :bassist:
That must be my problem, I must be using my forearm instead of my wrist.

Not to worry. I will go through the hand and wrist positions and the most important part is to make sure that you do some light stretching exercises to keep from causing issues that come up as carpal tunnel later...

So what you are saying is I shouldn't be swinging my arm from over my head to hit the strings? :D Haha, the scary thing is, I know I am swinging my arm and that is why i am so terrible. Factor in that I only own 5 string basses so the string spacing is tighter and you can imagine how bad I am at slap bass playing :hiding:

String spacing is not as much of an issue as thumb and wrist coordination. I will try to get the first vid posted in the next day or two...

I like to use my forearm as an anchor on the bass. That way you don't have to worry about looking at your slapping hand and can concentrate on your fretting hand. The right hand is on auto pilot like its not even there.
