I am not 100% positive, but pretty sure the stock strings are the 45-105 spector nickel strings. Could be wrong tho.

Waiting for the next part of this thread to start, part 30 I will drop some awesome pics haha

Thanks thats what i thinking too

I really don't want to do this, but i need to get $$$ for an Ampeg 8x10 cab soon and pay off some bills. I'm putting up my upgraded NS-2000/4 for sale if anyone is interested. Also i will be selling a brand new never opened MM114 preamp soon as well. If any of you are interested here is the link for the bass.

Honestly that is a great deal, that's a little more than what I paid for my NS20004 and upgrades, and I didn't change out the hardware on mine. Someone in here definitely needs this bass, solid neck-through fully-contoured beast.

performer is all passive (p/u and pre), legend has active pre and passive p/u. not sure on weight, both have 34 in. scale. im not sure about the sound. gc prices are good, but what might kill you is the shipping since you live down under. but if youre not satisfied, i believe you have either 30 or 45 days for refund. then again, the shipping...ouch. but its all up to you what you want to do. im sure some of the other guys on here could have some ideas too. tell your parents its not a scam lol. ive bought from there and they are fine. so its your call my friend. :bassist:

it seems theyre running free shipping right now, but i dont know if its international or not. im sure its not.

Let your parents know there's nothing to fear with GC. I've bought a few basses and bass rigs thru them with not a problem. Usually what I get is better than what I expected to get, condition wise. They have a 30 day money back 100% satisfaction guarentee. I've not had to return anything yet.
Stick with the Legend or NS-2A though...if you prefer active pres.

If you want to lose the schallers, I can use them...

All I have of them is the part that attaches to the bass.

The bass did not come with the part you attach the strap to, I had some old beat up ones that I thought I might be able to make work but they were missing the crucial nuts to hold the strap.

So I said the heck with it and bought the good ones :D

Just bought Euro4LX-TW35 on ebay) Gonna be my first Spector with humbuckers.
Congratulations! That's an awesome bass! Can't wait to see pics!

Hey guys, I've been playing Warwicks for years and after reading all of your Spector loving posts, I just recently purchased a brand new Spector Rebop 5DLX-EX. What an incredible instrument! The tone I get out of this bass on my Fender Bronco 40 combo practice amp is unlike anything I've heard before. As a guy who plays mostly metal, I'm very happy I made this purchase.

So far the 35" scale hasn't been much of a bother, but the string tension is much greater than I'm used to. I love the B string, but the others are pretty tight. I have a new set of DR High Beams, would those have a looser feel than the stock Spector strings?
Congrats and welcome to the Spector family! Pictures please! :bassist:
welcome..."to operation: mindcrime"!
Lol LMBO!!! :D
