Yes sir. I put those on my J basses for awhile. While the 66's are bright and zing they always wore out on me very fast. I do really like Rotosounds though.

Time will tell with the Cobalts but as for how long they last but they have more fundamental note/tone than the 66's. It's hard to explain but the Cobalt's are just BIG sounding. Big, bright and harmonically powerful tone IMO. They extra harmonics really work well with the Spector and growl factor.

really nice. yeah i really like my 66's but id like to try something else because those are really hard on frets :( keep us updated on life longevity on those cobalts. i heard some sound clips and they sounded great! so if they last as long or longer than my 66's, i may just have to convert :bassist:

Wow! I went out of town for the weekend to go to a concert and there's a new 8-page thread... you guys are crazy.
I'm in.

Hey y'all! Anyone ever put an 18v USA tone circuit in a Legend? Now that I have more confidence in my soldering skills, I want to experiment. I was gonna try a Bartolini package, m56cbc and ntmb-918f, but I'm going to throw that in another bass, put the EMG 45DC's in the Legend with the Tonepump....I just thought about the USA I finally got to play and wondered if the 18v USA would even fit? I know the volu,e and blend pots are on a PCB, and the spacing may be too short for the Legend's configuration....

Oh yeah before I put them up in the classifieds, anyone want my pretty new EMG 45TW's? $150 shipped with cables and pots.....

You will need to widen the holes for sure.

As far as the spacing of the 2 pots on the board, I would email [email protected] and confirm with him if it will fit.

LOL....I don't know if I'm quite ready to work on other basses....I'm getting over the clumsy with tools stage.....I've dropped so many screw drivers, screws, pots, and other things on the back of my Agile I'm worried I'm going to finally damage the finish! But I'll definitely let you know what I think is the best combo...my own opinion of course. I just changed my mind....like just now....and I'm gonna put the DC's + Aguilar OBP-3 in the Legend, and sell my Tonepump with the TW's.....

You're always helping me out, thanks man!! That buckeye USA 6 I played really blew my mind.......

I've been trying to figure out how to get that Zebrawood Euro 6 on eBay....I'm like maybe I need to sell the Cirrus......

Random question. Has anyone got any better pictures of the 20th Anniversary run of Spectors? (Or better yet, actually owns one!) I love the intricacy of inlay work, and want to get a better look at what went into the necks on those.
