i've got a Spector bass equipped with a cheap Gotoh-style bridge .

any point replacing it with a Babicz bridge?

The Spector performers have a gotoh style bridge on them, perhaps that is what he means.

I built a bass not too long ago and was debating whether to use a badass or babicz, the babicz bridge was only $70 at Guitar Center, and it is a really good bridge. It seemed to add a bit of sustain as well as being rock-solid and a piece of cake to adjust! It is definitely my favorite non-spector bridge.

ya he has a performer.... couldn't hurt to install a better bridge. But unless you are seeing poor sustain or tuning problems it probably isn't worth it... IMHO

I wasn't too impressed with the Performer bridge...it'd definitely would be an improvement. When I took the strings off the one I had to clean it, if you tip it the saddles would fall out. Lol

Two weeks ago I added my ring finger to my finger style; trying to develop the three-finger gallop. I have always been able to play really fast with two fingers, but there's always FASTER!
Is this a direct influence of watching/listening to Alex Webster? Undoubtedly.
Plus, after a couple of 8-minute-long tunes, my hand is ACHING!
This isn't gonna be easy; the ring finger is the Billy Carter of the hand. If you have never tried it, put your hand flat on a surface, then lift each finger, one at a time.

Once in a while I try the pic(just this week during practice)but go back to fingers only.

very true. when i started, i started with a pick, which felt more natural for me. it wasnt years later that i started using the fingers. i have some trouble with the fast stuff because i use 3 fingers and have to get that timing right. but im getting better at it slowly but surely

when it gets really fast I resort back to the "James Jamerson" method of 1 finger double side.

tickle fights can be sent over to the Fender precision club..LOL...

Playing with a pick feel SO unnatural to me; I play certain songs/styles with a pick (mostly punk), but it is not comfortable, and I can't prevent myself from developing a "death grip" on the pick. I'm all about da fingas...

I bought my NS4CR at Thoroughbred Music in Orlando in 1995...they had a good selection there.
I'd stop by Bass Central and say "hi" to Beaver Felton.

Legend 5 owners, how much do they weigh?

Using the super scientific 'bathroom scale' method, mine comes out to somewhere between 9 and 10 pounds. The only scale we have isn't digital, so I wasn't able to get a more accurate reading than that. But it really isn't bad enough for me to notice while playing, but I don't have any shoulder or back issues (that I'm aware of...)
