Most likely they replaced the bridge with a euro when they wore through the gold. Their half the price of a us. The control layout is the us style.

I had the same bass, great player and I liked that it looked teal or blue sometimes welcome to the family!

That is a stock bridge. The Euro bridges will not fit the route pocket. Here is an example...

Are the new shiny Euro bridges the exact same size as the old matte finish Euro bridges? I hope so - I just ordered one for the used plum Euro I picked up off of CL last week...

Bridge looks like a euro bridge though. I may be mistaken. The us bridges are plated and square. Looks like an NS5 from the controls. Need to see the back of the headstock, and a close up of the bridge.

SSD's NS-5's had that bridge I believe.....

My SSD 1994 NS-4 #110 has the same style bridge in the 4-string version..

They share the same dimensions, however, the mounting holes are slightly different. You will have to plug the existing holes and drill new holes.

Sweet, because I am about to place an order for a U.S. NS-5H2 with the neck profile similar to Alex Webster's sig bass, Redwood top and Jazz pickups!!

Hello everyone.
I was finally able to fulfill getting one of my dream basses: a Spector NS-2, black gloss. I assume based on my research that the bass was manufactured between 1988-1989.
Thanks to the support of some people in TB and members of this club I was able to get the bass up to its full potential (a pickup was not fully connected producing some saturation).

I attach some pictures of this beautiful bass. I love it!

I was finally able to fulfill getting one of my dream basses: a Spector NS-2, black gloss. I assume based on my research that the bass was manufactured between 1988-1989.
Thanks to the support of some people in TB and members of this club I was able to get the bass up to its full potential (a pickup was not fully connected producing some saturation).

I attach some pictures of this beautiful bass. I love it!

ooo a Kramer Era NS2 those are SWEET!!! I was just reading that other thread where Grendle helped get ya all fixed up. Welcome to the family, we have fun here

Welcome to the fun!!! A black NS-2 is a great example of a classic Spector!
