SPECTOR® Club - Part 33

Getting ready for my first show in a while with the legend. I'm playing a pixies cover and an original with one group, a puscifer cover with another (country boner), and jamming on a standard or 2 with a jazz guitarist friend. Gonna be quite the diverse show! Should be a good showcase for the legend's versatility.

Took a quick family photo today while taking a break from yardwork. My 2 NS4CRFMs bookending my NS2AJ-R that arrived yesterday. Jury is out on the color of the one on the left though. I'm not sure if it's black cherry or plum.

Jeff
i love that plum color! :)

These babies await a Rex4 pro

awesome brotha!!!

Thanks mate...it is a very fine bass. I'm glad I was patient enough to save up all the money for it.

As with most of the finer things in life, Spectors are worth saving & waiting for!
It took several years of penny-pinching for me to finally get my USA NS4, and even though it just arrived last week, I've already started saving for another USA Spector, most likely a second NS4.
Congrats again on your beautiful new Spector, Bass_Drummer, and welcome to the club!

Must see video!!!!!

Can't wait to hear the "Green Manalishi"!!! :bassist:

If I didn't think he'd turn me over his knee and swat my backside, I'd sneak one of the videos onto youtube and post it.:eek: LOL. But it's his band, so he gets to decide what and when to make the video public. I just hope you'll all forgive the crowd-jiggling and visibly amateur video.

Bummer of the night was that the production ran long, the band before them used most of the set time for technical problems, THEN played their set so CTS was cut short. Not cool for them - the crowd was obviously disappointed. During load-out, one very unlikely-looking fan poked his head through the back door with obvious disappointment and said, "It's a d**m shame they made these guys quit early and that they're leaving. They's the best band of the night and this crap going on now shouldn't be up there."

Sometimes Sh*t happens during shows.:eek:

Lol! Naah Mel is my official bass holder ;) yeah it was a really wierd night. Cool club though. We are supposed to go on at 10:45 , didn't go on till after 12:00. Let me see what we got.

Nothing wrong with getting an amp first. I think there are quite a few bassists out there who buy a bunch of nice basses, & then end up dissatisified because their amp is not up to snuff. Every bass you own will only sound as good as the amp that it is played through, so save those pennies & choose wisely - your Spector will thank you!

Kick butt! Break a leg!

Thanks! Hope your gig was good as well!
My band played pretty well, and we got video, which I should be able to post in the next few days.
Halfway through country boner, which I played with another group, they cut the Mic's when they realized what the lyrics were. Lol. It was probably because there was an abnormally high amount of middle schoolers present (it's normally a high school only event). It didn't stop us from finishing the song though. :bassist:
