I need to find a REALLY beat up euro for a special project.....anyone know of one???? 4 string.....finish can be absolutely trashed....no Bops for this!

That's what I did for my Euro 4LXthat I refinned and changed to black hardware. It was a used oil finish for $850. Sanded out all the dings and dents.

I'd say either look for a nice used NS-5 as it'd be less expensive and mod it, order a new NS-5 thru either Bass Central or Guitar House of Tulsa, they both will give you an awesome deal, or buy a Forte 5, as it's a NS-5 but not as fancy without the cown inlays and gold hardware, but has all the excellent craftsmanship hand build and awesome tone. You can order the Forte 5 with the Haz and choice of pups too, for half the price of a NS-5.

Ok, the hunt is on for a used Forte 5 with Haz and DCs. I suspect that'll set me back a couple thousand. Still a dog house move but maybe only for a few nights.

The re-issue's had 83 made in each color, black, white and natural.
Great choice in what you're keeping...and selling.
We don't mind you talking on hear! And it's not ranting. God bless on paying off your medical bills and if I hear of somebody looking for a nice bass I'll send them your way for sure! I can't wait to see that white Wimbish!!!

Also, tell him Steve Maddern referred you and he'll probably throw in a 5-10% discount as well or at the very least free shipping. Either email or call (email is [email protected]). I get everything from him and he's really a tremendously nice guy in addition to being able to get his hands on just about anything very quickly. It used to be run by Brian Ristola of Ristola basses and when Brian passed it onto Max he really put his foot to the floor. It's the only place I go to for parts anymore unless for some reason he just can't get a hold of something (usually a proprietary part like a Spector preamp). Very knowledgeable, very kind, and he'll give you a great price.

Ah so you really do need something that's beat to hell ($700ish probably). Why not just get one of the NS-2As floating around for under $500?

What color are you thinking? I'm still advocating big flake silver. Or maybe racing yellow!

I had it professionally done, but sanding took care of it. I'll ask them re the process.

Jaymi uses all of his basses or gets rid of them... I don't think a NS2A will match the quality of bass he currently uses

I'm still on the hunt for one of these. Where did they go?Since I've had the money, not one has been around. While I was waiting for the funds to hit my paypal 2 killer NS2A's went. Might have to pick up a Legend 4 if one doesn't show up soon...........Damn you GAS......
