You want a C10k pot. I got mine at Invalid Link Removed, but I think you need to call to get one that has the soldering tabs versus the on that goes on circuit boards. And the knurled shaft unless you want to change knobs.

Thanks for the detailed info!

Photos of Me & John with PJ from Spector & JPS yesterday from the Airport for a quick hello and Spector talk session before they headed up to the NY Workshop.

Super Cool Gentlemen :bassist:

I think I may be a little unhinged but...
I recently picked up an old NS2000 in perfect condition (for £100!). This particular model was my introduction to Spector about 8 years ago but it was long sold, much to my regret. I find I actually prefer the NS2000 to my Euro. It just feels sturdier and I love the EMG HZ sound.
I love it so much I am trading my Euro for a brand new Rex - pics to follow soon hopefully!

Does anyone else on here prefer the HZ pickups? I know they are generally considered to be the inferior species of EMG - but I find 'my' tone easier with them.

“Diry” Ray Scheuring who plays with Brett Michaels actually puts EMG HZ’s in all of his Spectors. He has a Rex, Euro 4LX and a ForteX all with EMG HZ’s.

I actually like the HZ's and the trim pot tone pump:hiding:

So today was a great day for me. Today Steve (smadder) drove up from atl to bring my new bass! It was a great visit, yet short lived unfortunately. It was quite a blessing meeting a new friend and receiving such a beautiful instrument! Thanks again Steve! I'll post pics when I'm done playing it lol

The EMG Hz's really depend on preamp/electronics I've found. With the EMG BT system modded to 18v in my NS20005 they sound GREAT.

In my Schecter 8-string, they sounded AWFUL. Still trying to figure out how to get a good sound out of it...
