Wish me luck guys, I'm going to raise my action a hair. That bridge scares me. I know there is supposed to be a screw on the side of the bridge to hold the saddles in place. What kind of screwdriver works on it, and is is commonly visible? Mine seems to be deep inside a threaded hole and I don't see it.

Its an allen screw....same size as the saddles

Holy crap you guys move fast! Got to my parents (and my in-laws, about 45 minutes away) in Minnesota and they both have "internet" if you can call it that, it's going to be a long summer. Got here Thursday, played on Friday and Saturday for the first time live with my NS-4. I could not be more impressed with that bass (My Heritage SVT either...). It played and sounded so good, I am more and more impressed with that bass every time I turn around, I can't believe I toyed around with thinking of getting rid of it a while back. Lots of complements on the tone (Duh, it's a Spector...) but it just played so well, I feel like the bass just makes me a better player, because it plays so easily and is such a joy to play that it makes me want to play more.

Happy Birthday Mr. Spector.

Sam, I know I am serious delinquent in my Spector Story, maybe with some time this summer on my hands I can finally get around to doing it...

Lol. I call Jaymi my Spector conscious. He'll tell ya, i call all the time for advice and such lol.

Thankfully my gas has been cured, but sas is sooooooo evil

what would probably kill you is my NS2JA...the REAL DEAL....not the reissue.....when's the last time you saw one of those for sale?????

Also, I got my legend 6 back today. They said that the saddles were bottomed out and the action is still a bit higher than I would like (the action on my legend 5 is perfect). It would be fine if I was just fingering and slapping, but I like to tap too, and the actions just a hair too high for me to do it easily. They said they'd have to machine down the saddles or something to get it any lower :eek: . Anyone have any insight into this? I'm really digging the bass and I'm hoping that working the bridge doesn't screw anything up.

I always look closely at everything with "Uber" in the title.

This is the first one I've seen for sale and it's a rare beauty.

Where's husky123? This would be a perfect addition to his "Uber" collection of Spector basses and amp heads:hiding:
