This sounds like a good plan. In fact, I'm considering springing for a USA 9v for my NSCRFM, to go along with the refinish, which I'm also on the fence about. The NSCRFMs have the all maple wings Steve spoke so highly of, and finding one with inlays you'll have a real nice Spector when done.... For much less money!

Here's a SansAmp RPM test I did.
I played over my bands song "Bottle In The Sand".

Keep in mind:

-Bass is WAY high in the mix (of course...)
-BEAD tuning on Forte 4 with USA 9v Circuit.
-I only did one take so hence the less than good performance.
-First time using the SansAmp, sound could probably be better.

Settings:
Drive - 10 o'clock
Mid - 1 o'clock
Mid shift - 12 o'clock
Blend - 2 o'clock
Bass - 11 o'clock
Treble - 10 o'clock
level - 3 o'clock

I dig it! nice tone, and playing (as usual). I really like your band's sound too. very cool sounding.

Actually, i just signed in to post a clip of my own.

just me noodling around with an idea I had. It's far from perfect, but I think it had some cool moments.

KILLER noodling dude!!!!!!!!!!!! It definitely has a LOT of potential!!!!! Even as is it sounds great. I would of course throw a bunch of effects on it :P Delay and Flanger being the main ones I use on ambient tracks :smug:

Maybe half way through, double time it, so play it twice as fast, it'll give it a cool vibe :) $0.2

Thanks! I was actually thinking of double timing it and putting a samba beat behind it, then doing one track of chords, and another for the melody and an improvised solo. I'll have to get to it tomorrow, though, since it's 1 AM here and they say that people need to sleep... Haha
And that's not a bad idea with the delay and flange. That's something I'll have to experiment with a little more. Thanks for the suggestions man, and I'm glad you liked it. Having heard your solo tracks, I have to say it really means a lot! :bassist:

I can like the super serene....I always see people going super crazy and loud, this is a change of pace and puts me in a alter universe of peace and serenity.....hehe :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Thanks man. Ernie Ball makes the Cobalt's. Great strings. Very deep and low mid forward, not so much top end zing but bright still if that makes sense.

I don't know if I mentioned last night about the clips but the first bass is the NS 2 and the second is the Forte.

I just finished recording several original songs with my band - songs I believe are worthy of sharing here - and I was hoping my fellow Spector Club members would advise me on an easy & affordable method of posting sound clips.
Like me, my recorder is both old school, and just plain old. Everything was recorded on a Yamaha MD-8 MiniDisc recorder, and I have no music-to-computer experience or related hardware, so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'll be in after rehearsal tonight! Just bought a Spector Euro5LX in a pawn shop last night for.....

$300!!

After my tech and I did some research, turns out the bass used to belong to the bassist in Cameo!

A lot of us use Soundcloud. It's free up to a certain amount of minutes (lengths of clips).
