I'll be in after rehearsal tonight! Just bought a Spector Euro5LX in a pawn shop last night for.....
$300!!
After my tech and I did some research, turns out the bass used to belong to the bassist in Cameo!
Pics to come
FlemptonBass said:I was in with my dad selling some stuff and it caught the corner of my eye. Right place, right time is the only way I could explain it.

That's the bass in action.
I got my M-Audio/Pro Tools interface in yesterday (thanks for passing that deal on smadder) and was trying to get it figured out. A couple of guys were wondering about the Darkglass B3K so I attempted to make a serious bush-league recording.
Here is my NS 2 into the B3K. The drive on the B3K is wide open so this is as much saturation as you'll get. I do, however, have the blend at 50% so your getting 1/2 clean, 1/2 dirt. I didn't adjust the master volume on mixdown so the volume is low...best with headphones.

But I LOVE PEDALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Thanks man. Ernie Ball makes the Cobalt's. Great strings. Very deep and low mid forward, not so much top end zing but bright still if that makes sense.
I don't know if I mentioned last night about the clips but the first bass is the NS 2 and the second is the Forte.
It's the color I want, too.. Great find!! And an unbelievable price, too! That's 90% off a new one!
I can't believe you find something like that with today's Internet. It's not hard to look things up. I know it'd be hard to tell by the logo, but it says Spector on the truss rod cover and stuff on the back of the headstock. They may have gotten 5x that..
Thank you! It's very very simple:

This is how I play 90% of the time when I need some grit. I turn the grit loop off (which consists only of the M-80) when I want a clean tone.
My SVT 4-Pro has the exact settings as the Bass Mid and Treb on the M-80.
And this is how I loop things:

One pedal is missing, the Morpheus Divebomb
lol I know... I mean before I got my office humidifier I noticed a slight contracting of the Black Pearl's neck this past winter. But a few days in a properly humidified room and I didn't feel the sharp fret edges any more.
You would think that people take the time and do a bit of research but Guitar Center is the perfect example. They still have one of their Spector's listed as a B.O.B. bass where it clearly is something else and I remember someone getting an amazing deal on an NS-2 about a year ago that made all of us just jealous![]()
Pawn shops I would be a bit more lenient with but since they sold it for $300, imagine how much they offered the person selling it?
Here's a SansAmp RPM test I did.
I played over my bands song "Bottle In The Sand".
Keep in mind:
-Bass is WAY high in the mix (of course...)
-BEAD tuning on Forte 4 with USA 9v Circuit.
-I only did one take so hence the less than good performance.
-First time using the SansAmp, sound could probably be better.

That's just something I came up with and used the Harmonist for.
A much comprehensive explanation here:

I dig it! nice tone, and playing (as usual). I really like your band's sound too. very cool sounding.
Actually, i just signed in to post a clip of my own.

just me noodling around with an idea I had. It's far from perfect, but I think it had some cool moments.
guys im really starting to get the sas for a usa ns-2 or euro lx4 peacock blueim going to start a fund for her. which do you guys think would be better? is the usa worth the extra money? or should i get a euro and throw the 9v haz in it?
Man, they both sound just amazing! Weren't there people saying they didn't like the sound of buckeye or it wouldn't be able to give a good tone? I think that should silence anyone right there that has any doubts.
Sweet bass but I just can't stop looking at his pants and boots, haha.
Seriously though, getting that bass for $300 is a super deal. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Ive been sitting here all morning comparing my Mesa mpulse600 to the Genz Shuttlemax 12.0, I want to love the Genz but no matter what bass I put through them the Mesa just sounds better more full if you know what i mean. I really want to go light weight, but I dont think its worth it if I feel as though im sacrificing the depth of my sound. Don't get me wrong the Genz is a solid head, but it might be wiser to keep the Mesa. I cant afford to keep both.
