SPECTOR® Club - Part 41

there is a 5 sting Spectorcore fretless on craigslist. I think someone mentioned looking for one a thread or two back.

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

It was probably me. Thanks for the heads up. I'm still looking for a 5 string but holding out for a fretted version that isn't amberburst (the more I see that color the less I like it). But thanks for posting anyway. Have a great day!

I am thinking it might be an EMG BT circuit but you never know. Are any of the knobs stacked by chance?

The BQC I have in my Euro 5LX has the EMG knobs and the BQC I am about to put in my NS-JH5 has those knobs as well. I personally think they are really cool looking and prefer them to the knobs that come with the tone pump since they seem to be made a bit better.

No stacked knobs. Just 4 knobs run volume, pickup balance, bass & treble.

:rollno:I wish I only had 3 days for my Coda 5...When you finally order a new bass and have to wait 4-7 months you'll learn to abate S.A.S. :)

Praying for your wife.

I had a custom acoustic guitar built a few years ago, It took 6 months. Even with constant updates and being able to visit the builder whenever I wanted. That being said the only new NS-2 or Euro I'll be buying will be at namm or BPL.... no waiting for this guy.... lol

If it has all EMG knobs, it's probably the EMG BTS system. If you check the electronics cavity in the back and it's all plug and play connectors rather than soldering, it is definitely the BTS system. Otherwise, like John said, it's a BT which is basically the EMG tone controls with Spector provided volume and balance pots (I'm assuming we're discussing a Spector - if not whoever the manufacturer is).

I'm think I'm the current EMG preamp freak of this bunch, so feel free to ask away.

actually, the ns4 is going out first....I am curious to hear how it does on the first leg..
 It'll be killer for sure!

I mentioned this to Jaymi last night, and the more I think about it, the cooler it seems in my brain: a pink Coda with the Hello Kitty graphic, like Warren Fitzgerald's guitar:
He needs to acessorize i.e. pink shoe laces and hat. LOL :hiding:

positive thoughts and prayers sent your way sir.
Thank you!
Lifting ya'll up.
Thank you!
folks. this is a feeler. but opportunities for USA NS2's don't come up much. I'm considering selling the forte five I got from smadder. I just want to get my gas money out of the deal. I have 1600 in the bass once I factor in the added cash and gas to pick up the bass. comes with case and the smadder electronic setup.

so for sale as long as the ns2 is available for 1600 net after shipping and fees.

ps. the almost mint Mesa 400+ behind OT can be yours for 900 plus fees and shipping. why not buy both? :)
Thats a short relationship! :D;)

Positive thoughts coming her way!

Sending all the positive energy I can ice. She'll do great!

Done Deal!

Icebox.....I'm a little slow moving this morning, but positive vibes and prayers headed out for your wife man!

Also sending the + vibes!

Positive West Coast vibes to you and your wife Ice!

:bassist:

Texas vibes your way Ice!!!
Thank you everybody ^^^^^^! Dr. is about 2 hrs. behind schedule so she didn't get in until 11:00. Now waiting 2.5 hours to hear from the Dr. Atleast theres free Wi-Fi to use so I brought my laptop and iPad to keep me busy.

Thank you Donny! I hear ya about the new buying. I may go that way also unless it's something special...;) Otherwise, when I'm officially retired I'd like to do some CRFM refurbishing and I dropped a hint to the little lady at home that I'd like a retirement gift of a NS-2 Kramer. No word said yet...:hmm: Next tactic is to leave some email and TalkBass contacts laying around, that'll steer her in the right direction like our Spector Pimp LimaGuy :D. Haha! Remember...No Amber or Bright reds. :D LOL

Ice - no worries! I've had THREE hernia surgeries (inguinal, not hiatal); it's a breeze. It's uncomfortable for a few days, as a cut in the gut is expected to be, especially when standing, as gravity is the enemy!
Make sure she's comfy in bed, and most importantly, FILL the pain meds Rx immediately!!!
She won't forget these things if you do em! :)

And whatever you do, do not make her laugh! Nothing hurts more after abdominal surgery than laughing. If you don't want the mother of all groin kicks, do not make her laugh. Nothing is funny! Except groin kicks when they aren't done to you of course.

Actually that's true. Most of you guys know how much surgery I've had between 2005 and now and my surgeon says that he wishes GA had legalized medical mj. It's better for abdominal pain post surgery than opiates. Oh well. That's the south.

yep. i suffer from cluster headaches and dont wish those on my worst enemy. but a few good hits off some good stuff and i can still feel the throbbing in my head, it just doesnt hurt nearly as bad. it goes from super excruciating to a mild headache. hardly any of the southern states will have it for medicinal. its so sad and theyre off drinking alcohol like a fish out of water. hmm. sounds like a money issue, but i'll drop it for now ;)

No it's true. I hate having to be on pain pills for the rest of my life. I'd gladly take something that didnt have physical addiction factors instead. I hate my pain medication, but ill be in the hospital without it. Sucks. But thus is a conservative south. Why alcohol is sold 7 days a week and cigarettes and mj isn't even available with a scrip is completely beyond me. It's not even reasonable nor does it make medical sense.

Wow. I just bitched about that. sorry guys. Not the right place.
