shipped off the Rex today. I'll miss it, but I know it will be rocked every bit as hard as it should

That's awesome vin! That legend 4 was my gateway Spector...and I'm still here 3+ years and 10 Spectors later! Good luck selling the fenders vin!Hey Mike, are you kidding, been trying to sell my fenders now, hoping the jazz goes this week so yes I'm sasing hard, been some nice basses for sale recently that I've been looking at so we'll see.
Kudos to BrotherJ! He's a great guy! Yeah my former NS-95 had a tone all it's own! It is a tone monster! Wish I could've kept it but it bought an Ian Hill Sig! Good buy for you and congrats!!!Tostitos,I actually just traded brotherbassJ my alder bodied,Rebop 5string for a NS 20005 he picked up for me to trade. I think he is gonna sell or trade my Rebop 5 banger asap to help fund a original NS 4string purchase from a fellow TB,Spector official here....All i can say is i do miss the extra inch the 35scale provided for the B strings tone and feel, but put on a .135 to compensate the feel/tone i was missing. Overall,im very impressed with the Korean neck thru stuff from the mid 90s and having owned a early Euro 5 neck thru,35er(the 1 that got away...),i feel that this new bass smokes my old Euro Rebop! Back to the neck thru Spector tone i missed so much, and im trying new and interesting string gauges from Circle K,as well as thinking about changing out the EMG HZs to active models and preamps....If anyone has a chance to nab up a NS 2000 series or NS 95 bass here,do it,they are solid choices all around!
Wow! Delicious!!! Good price.not sure if this is still for sale but just came accross this...http://www.funkuponya.com/Bass/Spector.htm
*mentally willing my P to sell locally so I can have some SAS money*Gabriel51 said:4 String Rebop on GC for 479.00. That's cheap!

Is without a doubt, the most beautiful Spector ive seen...
WOW man!

Hey guys,
Recent purchases (ahem) are kinda forcing my hand to give up the 1983 Brooklyn NS 2J. I planned on being its steward for awhile but things happen and deals pop up. I, obviously, would like to keep it in the club so PM if you want the special "club" price. I'm going to list it for the same price in the Classifieds as Jaymi had it (2500). I'm even open to pay't plans if you'd need to do that. The bass sounds and plays like a dream. Growliest Spector I have ever played AND it weighs a scant 7 lbs. 13 oz. on my digital postal scale.
Here's some shot I took this morning out back.

...Lee, that backdrop makes EVERY bass look amazing!![]()

+1! Always! You'll have everybody gasping for air for sure then. Lol Can't wait to see it outside! Thanks buddy!..but thats actually a bad pic. Wait till I take an outside pic. Outside pics bring out the color and definition better.![]()

All of these sweet deals...and no $$$. The pmt plan that I'd need would be an insult I'm afraid. Two more months, two more months, two more months...
You need to keep that...you will regret...
I bought a US Cirrus today from GC and they just called to tell me that it was stolen!
Someone sold them a hot bass which they sold to me, the cops called the UPS Truck back to the store and they caught the guy.
He was trying to sell them another bass which alarmed them and so they checked the one they sold to me because it was one he had brought in yesterday and it was hot also.
I am a little (it ain't a Specter) disappointed but I'm glad they nabbed that AH.
This will be the only time I have heard of people getting their stuff back.

Bummer, sorry to hear that :scowl: I'd mentioned tale this way back when but it was under similar circumstances that I first encountered Spector. A friend of mine bought a white NS2 off of some guy, and the cops showed up a day or so later to collect it (it was hot). I remember that in spite of my then-current shredder tendencies, being intrigued by this curvy, growly beast. I'd never seen (or more importantly, heard) anything like it before. Sadly the coppers took it away before I ever got a chance to try it out. :scowl: This will eventually make it into my Spector Story, whenever I get off of my lazy ass and record it.![]()

at $180 (plus tax/shipping) you can't beat the Spector molded cases. I also am a fan of the Spector gig bags. I have used the Roadrunner cases and the bass moves around too much. I've also used the cheap musician's gear $50 cases and they are not that great. End of this month I will be ordering 2 Spector hard cases, for the money you can't beat them. YMMV IMHO.

Yes, in ebay toward the bottom of the Spector basses for sale there usually some Spector HSC for as low as $80.00-150.00. OR Go to MF where you can one made by the same Co. as Spector but not preformed for as low as $68.00. I bought a tweed case for $68.00 for the NS-95 I had Because Spector case wouldn't fit it unless I found and old SSD Spector case.
Ibanez Sound Gear and Warwick Cases should fit as well. I think the Ibanez may be a bit more economical.
