That's awesome vin! That legend 4 was my gateway Spector...and I'm still here 3+ years and 10 Spectors later! Good luck selling the fenders vin!

Back to the neck thru Spector tone i missed so much,and im trying new and interesting string gauges from Circle K,as well as thinking about changing out the EMG HZs to active models and preamps....If anyone has a chance to nab up a NS 2000 series or NS 95 bass here,do it,they are solid choices all around!

Kudos to BrotherJ! He's a great guy! Yeah my former NS-95 had a tone all it's own! It is a tone monster! Wish I could've kept it but it bought an Ian Hill Sig! Good buy for you and congrats!!!

Hey guys,

Recent purchases (ahem) are kinda forcing my hand to give up the 1983 Brooklyn NS 2J. I planned on being its steward for awhile but things happen and deals pop up. I, obviously, would like to keep it in the club so PM if you want the special "club" price. I'm going to list it for the same price in the Classifieds as Jaymi had it (2500). I'm even open to pay't plans if you'd need to do that. The bass sounds and plays like a dream. Growliest Spector I have ever played AND it weighs a scant 7 lbs. 13 oz. on my digital postal scale.

It definitely has the mojo!! If I didn't have other Spector's on the mind, and a bit more $$, I would be all over this!

...Lee, that backdrop makes EVERY bass look amazing! :bassist::D

Hey all, thought I would post here before I set this in motion. It seems like my forray into the world or Spectors may be short lived. Thinking of putting my recently acquired Euro 5LX up for sale (not 100% on it yet, but will probably end up doing so in the not too distant future). This is the one Wilsonmusic was trading. I am a little (it ain't a Specter) disappointed but I'm glad they nabbed that AH.
This will be the only time I have heard of people getting their stuff back.

Bummer, sorry to hear that :scowl: I'd mentioned tale this way back when but it was under similar circumstances that I first encountered Spector. A friend of mine bought a white NS2 off of some guy, and the cops showed up a day or so later to collect it (it was hot). I remember that in spite of my then-current shredder tendencies, being intrigued by this curvy, growly beast. I'd never seen (or more importantly, heard) anything like it before. Sadly the coppers took it away before I ever got a chance to try it out. :scowl: This will eventually make it into my Spector Story, whenever I get off of my lazy ass and record it. :bassist:

I called this morning and spoke to the manager (head honcho)who has been off for four days just to verify what I was told because you never know, maybe an employee or a friend wanted it and I was told a BS story.
The deal was legit, the bass wasn't and if it had been a Spector I would have been pissed
It was a good deal on a Cirrus I could not pass up, a little too good I suppose?:bawl:

at $180 (plus tax/shipping) you can't beat the Spector molded cases. I also am a fan of the Spector gig bags. I have used the Roadrunner cases and the bass moves around too much. I've also used the cheap musician's gear $50 cases and they are not that great. End of this month I will be ordering 2 Spector hard cases, for the money you can't beat them. YMMV IMHO.

I bought a tweed case for $68.00 for the NS-95 I had Because Spector case wouldn't fit it unless I found and old SSD Spector case.

After thinking about this for a while I think I'll get the Spector case after all. I'm all for saving some $$$ but it seems worth the extra cost to get a case that fits right. I'll probably sell the gig bag after I get the case since I won't need both. Thanks for the replies,
