I've used the Comfort Strapps for over two years - can't see going back to leather or wide, these are just plain comfortable to me. Glad you like em!

Has dots so is probably 34" scale (but not for sure), but has already been branded with the newly re-acquired (then) traditional double S logo instead of SSD.
Probably late '98 or early '99.
Preamp obviously changed.

$1200 is a bit high. Especially as a starting point.

I´ve been Spectorless for too long, been thinking of aquiring a Euro-5. Last one i had was probably a 2003-model or so (Euro5 Amber) -wondering how the newer electronics differs from the older Euro-s.
Also, seems like all the videos I find in youtube people are playing pretty heavy stuff, does anyone have a clip that shows smooth fingerstyle/soloing?

I have no idea how the older electronics were since I've only had one SPECTOR. So I'll let someone else who knows about the older ones chime in, but I love my Euro5LX-TW.

IIRC, Thomastic Jazz Rounds(and flats) are balanced tension(last set I had felt that way, certainly), but the really light gauges might not suit you.

Daddario have a tension chart for their strings, that you could work out what you need, and I'm sure he could order you the singles you'd need.

I'm a big fan of Sadowsky black label steels and nickels (and flats for that matter) in their light gauge. That's a .125 tapered B, then .40, .60, .80, .100 on everything else. They're incredible.

When I can't get those, I get Carvin Stainless steels, which are a .128 tapered B, then .100, .80, .60, .40 on the rest. They're actually really LaBella stainless steels and for $54 you can't beat their 3 sets for $45 deal (plus $9 for shipping = $54). LaBellas in their regular packaging cost a lot more.
