I wanna put the black back on the Forte and if I keep the NS 4 I may be changing that to black too. I know, sacrilege.

Here is my minty Legend that I recently bought. It's actually Trans Blue and color can be seen clearly under good lighting.
As you can see, I listed most of the 5ers I've tried before landing on the Blue Legend. They were all unique in their own way. I've been a Millennium 4+ poster-boy for a long time, but the 5's are slightly different to play than the 4's. My first 5er was the White Euro Spector 5. What a great bass. I compared everything else to it.
Times are tough and I am tired of searching for my White Euro tone & feel without the $800-$1K to buy it. Besides, I can't afford it. Had to trade my Helms for the Lakie, then sold the Lakie for wife's medical bills.
I didn't like the feel of the neck on the Spector Legend MM/J nor the mid boost in the preamp.
When I saw my newest addition on eBay, I had to have it, price was low and very reasonable. Don't know how I won it for such a low price, but I did. Wow, took it to a show Sat night and was so pleased with it, I am now a Spector convert for sure. It's about 95% of what I got from the White Euro. This legend, the neck feels different and TonePump Jr sounds like an EMG pre. SSD's are like the HZ's that were in the Euro.
Well I don't know what Spector did for their 2010 Korean Legends, but it sure works for me. They say there's a Spector for everyone and I believe them. Why spend $1K on another Euro, when I got all I need here for less than $300? Great deal huh?
Been studying on my Hohner and peaveys for the past year to be affluent in 5ers and now I can't go back. Strings on 4's seem too wide apart! Lol. The Hog Hohner has extra-tight spacing and when I went to my new Legend 5, my playing was so much more accurate. Perfect fit, maybe .5-.9mm wider. What a difference.
So, I guess I'm blowing off some excitement about the beloved Spectors and wanted to share the experience. (May I have a Club# now?)

I was told that "one gets bored with one tone" or " I get bored with the same tone after a while"
If I had the coin I would probably be rifling through basses also! LOL
Mucho love-o to brother Lee!
And Jaymi.....whatch gonna do when Lee says " Hello Pot........" LOL
Bingo.
was I right in my assessment of the ns4?
Good for a laugh fa real..

I'm not a fan of gold at all. However, I am hesitant to change the bridge on my US NS4 as I know the Euro bridges are not the same material. Any thought from anyone who has made the change?
Can you get a Forte with DC's in a four string model? I have yet to see one?
