SPECTOR® Club - Part 45

I got called to play with Plush-a stone temple pilots tribute band.
I will FINALLY be able to give the Matte Black Euro LX 4 a good run! I will be taking it to the rehearsal to see what she can do! Color me super excited boys and girl (or two or three in the club). I'm sure it will roll through the songs effortlessly and with authority!

Funny, I just got to run my new to me Forte 5 thru it's paces tonight.... I went right to Plush and Interstate. Added some Foo Fighters in there as well. These Spectors can nail any of the STP stuff but more importantly, I can't believe how versatile they can be..... Blues, slap, etc, etc.

I can't believe that I have played bass for over 25 years and just got my first Spector this week! AND I was a huge Judas Priest and Queensryche fan during my rockstar days but still played Fenders Ps and Gibson G3s!:help:

My midnight rant, I know the economy isn't great but I am being offered some insulting trades and two for one deals that blow my mind. If someone has something worth half of what you have why do they persist in offering an equal trade, between my Spectors I have for sale and my couple Warwicks I have been blown away at some offers I have received.....weird.

All I want to do is get a fair price for what I am selling.....just because I have it posted for sale doesn't mean I'm willing to sell it for half of the posted price or trade it for something only worth half. Most of my stuff is at 50% or less what it costs new? Someone explain this to me? No lol.....

Don't even reply to them.

I know it's tough but they'll sell before long.

I'm not so frustrated that they have not sold, just frustrated at the offers......ugh

The White NS-2A will go soon for sure.

I know the feeling all to well myself. Gets really under your skin when people make crazy low ball offers.

I know! Someone once offered me 300kr for a bass I was selling for 4000kr! I'm like.. How can you even write out that email? Hang in there, a serious buyer will appear :)

They are extremely versatile. I have the OBP-2 in my Forte 4, did you snag icebox's Forte 5?

OWNS. OWNSSSSS. :D

Hmmm...
Looks like you might have me on this one.

I was sure I either read, or it was discussed, that the black bridges weren't ever solid brass because of some issue of it being difficult to color/plate them black if brass.

If I ever find where that was said, I'll post it.

Here's an insert from spectorbass.com Forte features, also in the near past there was a discussion about this with JPS interjecting confirming the Black painted USA bridges are indeed Solid Brass just like the gold plated brass USA bridges. The only USA Spector bass that doesn't have this bridge would be the Coda line of course.

So....this Wednesday night I'm going to try out for another band. I got called to play with Plush-a stone temple pilots tribute band. Lee has seen them.....they are also expanding and doing choice covers, which I will get a part in picking. They called me, so I suppose I'm already in if I want. How does this relate?

I will FINALLY be able to give the Matte Black Euro LX 4 a good run! I will be taking it to the rehearsal to see what she can do! Color me super excited boys and girl (or two or three in the club). I'm sure it will roll through the songs effortlessly and with authority!

That is awesome! Congratulations! Representing Spector! :bassist:

Does Spector make basses with nut width wider than Fender Jazz spacing? Also, do they make anything other than PJs? I don't like either but like the Spector sound.

I know! Someone once offered me 300kr for a bass I was selling for 4000kr! I'm like.. How can you even write out that email? Hang in there, a serious buyer will appear :)

Are you serious??? It wasn't a typo, like they meant 3,000? :ninja:
