All of your Spectors are gorgeous ynot!! The flaming shows really great on your nat and a gorgeous side profile! I'd never get tired looking at that profile! I'm not a natural finish person but that one is remarkable! Rates up there with Phats nat oil finish. :D

Beautiful Spectors GBass! That Euro poplar is very unique! I like how each poplar and buckeye burl has their own unique look.

I do have my Forte 5 For Sale...$1900.00 shipped for Spector club member. :)

Figured I'd share..

Just put a down payment on this little beauty, being delivered to me over in New Zealand in a few weeks.. NS-2J with amber stained maple burl top, emg pup's, aguilar eq, solid rosewood neck w pau ferro.. annnd It's my first bonafide USA spector, freakin sweeeeeet :D

ok, boys and girls....Yesterday's practice has me a little p*ssed. Most of the night when playing 4/40 and drop D songs (Kramer/old 9 volt) it seemed like my E string had too much grind for the amp (no matter how I adjusted the gain). Then we play half step songs which is with the Euro (new 9 volt) the E sounded pisser....Could be my imagination....I can get the $1800 head I'm looking at or....Well when the new Woodstock comes this week it will go to practice and I will see how this sounds....IF I like the Woodstock that much better and DON'T get the amp......here they are (Kramers on the block???)....Lets raise some hell!!!

OOh and this is all premature and all but if the 1st scenario was to take place I am DEFINITELY not looking to downgrade so I would be looking for specificaly Woodstock, gloss with p/j configuration....but I am leaning on the new amp.

I was eyeballing that Glock as well. $1800 is an amazing price. They are extremely clean amps, and don't really color your tone at all. You'll know if it's the bass grinding with a Glock...
Oh, and it should be called the Moon-Rock, cuz it weighs a ton!

What strings do you have on each bass and how long they been on them?

(gets chant going) woodstock....Woodstock.....WOODSTOCK!!!!!

Hey Jeff, one thing to try is maybe lowering the E side of the J pup. That has a dramatic effect on the tone for me. Too high and it's very grindy. Lowering a tad mellows it out.

BTW - Woodstock's rule!!!!!!!

Can someone chime in on how far their EMG PJ pickups should measure from the Spector body? Or from the strings? Is it personal preference?

Definitely demonstrated the "awsomeness of the Spector NS-2 tonal range".... and also the awesomeness of your playing. Damn, dude, that was hot!

May it be caused by less tension of E-string when playing in drop D? Because with less tension a string is looser and it moves more, so it may effect the proximity of the string to the pickups generating this grind. Make sense?

That blue is just sick. What's the fingerboard wood on that one? Looks dark. Goes great with the black pups/knobs.
