I think it looks great! The black in the hardware kind of goes with the burl in the bass so it really works. It's almost like the bridge is too shiny though so you might want to rough that up a bit

From what I understand the ReBopMM 4 string will be on display at Bass Player Live on Oct 20th-21st.

I also hear there is a plan to have sound clips & a video review released that weekend. So we should be getting an answer soon on how it sounds.

I've cleared up my Bill Me Later account waiting to hear that MM Rebop. Can't wait.

I might be in the minority here, but I actually like the gold better. And this coming from a guy who did not like gold on any bass before I became a Spector convert.

My vote's on black. Gold looks great on solid colors but I think with figured wood black suits it better, lets the wood stand out more!

mmbongo has a US BO 5'er with the single MM style pickup. You might ask him about the tone.

All I know is that sometime next year I plan on ordering a US BO 5'er with a single MM pickup and an OBP-3 pre!

This is why there are so many options...There is one for everybody....doesn't really matter which era...if you're happy go with it....for selling purposes, Kramers and Brooklyns retain their value...

It's as valuable for as much as a person is willing to pay, as the saying goes.

That Looks Awesome Lee! I really like that look.

I really believe that Stuart is an artist. When we start talking about different basses, Brooklyn, Kramer, SSD, and Woodstock, it's like talking about a different part of a artist's career. Every person is going to have different taste, like different things about each era. I mean, what do you like? Abalone inlays or MOP? If you are a Brooklyn person, do you like the badass bridge, or the Spector bridge? Do you care about how involved Stuart was or is involved in the whole process? Even the "other" lines (NS-2A's, Legends, Euro's, ETC) have their fans and people who like/hate them. Some of the wood used now blows my mind how nice they are (like Lowend's new NS-2 or Patrick's Black Pearl) but then I see pictures of Jeff's blue Kramer and it too blows me away.

I have never played a Brooklyn Spector, but would love to someday to see the differences. I think the only solution is to have some of each, a collection like Todd has, but then I think Todd would probably tell you there is still stuff he has "Sas" over.

A thread or two back didn't JPS say something about the Kramer era basses potentially being the best made era Spectors? And also didn't someone say the the euro models were based on the Kramer era stuff? Or am I remembering it wrong? I am still relatively new to the Spector family but wanna make sure I keep my info correct.

I do understand that the Brooklyn and Kramer eras are more collectible. I guess in the end, we all as players, play what we want, given we can afford what we want. Some like narrow necks, some like baseball bats. To each his own and in this club it's probably all about brand, however some of you have some awesome collectible a and other have some incredible pieces of art, and then there are guys like me trying to get to that level.....lol.

And I've seen on here where people want all the SSD basses they can get their hands on because they are the transition bass when Stuart was back in his business and they're a lot fewer of SSD's around than the others, as they were made only for a few years. So it's all subjective and in the eye of the collector. Lol

I'm still leaning towards having a Forte-6 built, -once I get around to selling my Roscoe SKB3006.

But the NS-6H2 also interests me and is a little less coin.


Then, the Euro-6 looks to be an awesome bass and I've seen a couple used ones sell here for very affordable prices.

BTW, the white NS4CRFM that I bought almost 10 years ago remains to be one of the best 4-strings I own. I'd rate it's playability and responsiveness right up there with my Alembic Europa-4.

more of a tonewood comment than an aesthetic comment. The modern Spectors have an unequaled fit and finish...

Bass, that's exactly how I feel.

The gold on that bass makes it look elegant and jazzy. The black brings out the Rock-n-Roll.
