I have 2 deals that are working behind scenes right now...So going to work these first...
I was just at my local Guitar Center and saw that "used" Euro selling for $1,800. It was way up high so I didn't get to see it up close, but man, it was the nicest looking Spector I've ever seen in real life. Obviously, the insanely beautiful Spectors here on the last few pages are on another level, but I've only seen them in pictures. That one at GC looked sweet.
Got the Rebop dissambled today and the body sanded down with 320, gonna try to finish up the sanding next week. Made a of viedo of the progress and will edit them all together when I'm done. Will post some pic's in the mean time.

Dude. I wish. No this will be a white Euro LX 4 with an Ian Hill neck profile. The one I just got last week with the Wimbish neck profile had some factory flaws on it and it also turns out that the Wimbish neck just isn't for me. Could have just been the carve of that particular one, but I'm gonna stick with what works for me from now on.
One day, maybe a US model, but not any time soon, man. But you know... donations are always accepted!

Still hard to think that it made it thru QC inspection and they shipped a flawed bass.

You do know...what you pay for a new Euro that you can buy a Brooklyn or Kramer NS-2? If I'd figured that out before buying the last 3 USA builds I would've been going the route of Brooklyn's and Kramers.
Yeah, I know. I thought it would be shorter too, but the first white one took 8 months and I was told to expect up to 10 for this. I think it's the timing with NAMM around the corner.
And I did think of just asking for a refund and waiting for a used Kramer to show it's head, but that phase seems to have passed (but man, summer was hopping with Kramer-era Spectors) and I didn't want to get into a thing with Beaver. He's going through a really hard time right now and I felt bad enough bothering him about the imperfect LX that showed up. I figured if I asked for a refund, it wouldn't go over very well. Plus, my dream Spector is a white one (and supes' blue NS-4) and since I already have the money aside to put a US 9v in it when it gets here, that's close enough for me.

I know Mike. I was so sad and disappointed, you have no idea. I had been waiting for this for months. Then to get put through the wringer about returning it... it wasn't fun. But it's all settled now (as far as I know). I've been a client of Beaver's since 1999, so I figure the one time he has a bad day about something involving me, I don't need to take it personally. It's been too long to go burning a bridge, and I feel bad for him right now.
Yeah, BPL/NAMM takes its toll on ordered basses. I've found the best time to order is late Jan-June because of those shows. But putting out 40+ basses per month out of the USA shop is still outstanding! Considering they're handled by hand mostly.

I have to post pics of my new (to me) black NS-2A. So far I'm really digging it.
I ordered some gold hardware for it already and I may be modding the haz copy preamp to accommodate a set of active EMG's.
I'm pretty surprised at how similar it is to my old Kramer NS-2. I'm liking the lighter weight on the NS-2A for sure.
