SPECTOR® Club - Part 49

Guys- while we currently are letting supporting members briefly mention their TB classified ads in directly related club threads, these threads are not the place for going into detail on those matters. There's no listing in these threads prior to having a TB ad, no going into great detail on the items, etc. We don't want to have to revoke this due to abuse.

Thanks

After nearly of 3 years of research and interviews... sorting through thousands of photos and research into obscure corners of the guitar manufacturing industry...

The new Spector (company) website is complete!

THIS IS A TALKBASS EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW.

I won't be putting anything about this site anywhere else!

PJ Rubal will make the official launch tomorrow on FB, etc... so please enjoy this but don't share it with anyone outside of the Spector TalkBass Forum. Thanks!!!

So you know what you're looking at:

This site is all the history, model history, advertising history, customer service, current news and promotions, and world-wide dealer locations.

Very soon the SpectorBass website we all know and love will be nothing but information on CURRENT Spector Bass models and artists. All other information such as history, etc... will link to the site I'm about to share with you.

The same goes for the Spector Electric Guitars website.

Be sure to look at all the links, etc... on this site.

There's never before seen photos, information and the Model history section now features a very thorough Headstock, Inlay and Bridge section.

And the history section, Stuart's Biography, and many other sections will shed light on some things no one has ever discussed before concerning Spector, Stuart, PJ and the company's history.

For those of you who have asked about the documentary I've been working on, all of the historic info on this new site is FROM my documentary and research.

Enjoy! :D

Lyrics are in the process...

Sorry guys, been out a few days. One of the chemo drugs I got last week makes my eyes tired when I spend time at a computer screen of my phone, so for like 2-4 days I just "Go Dark" and kind of stay away from computers, Tv's, mostly my phone, but it's flushed out of my system for the most part now, I'm good.

Once again I am overwhelmed by how awesome you guys are. I try to read the posts and try stuff out once in a while you guys recommend. I sometimes buy a couple of things to try, then if it's just not my thing, I put it into a cupboard with all my bass stuff. Last week I cleaned out the cupboard and try to send all the stuff to people I remember digging it or I thought should try it. I truly wish I had an endless cupboard I could send everyone everything you all dig, like you deserve.

Oh Chris, How Could You!?!

Just kidding brother...LOL. Ever since I outed Chris' 6 string like an idiot, I made him promise he would post a picture of my incoming NS-2 to even things up, and yes, this is Mine!!! Thanks to more unbelievably awesome people doing incredible things for me, it will be here tomorrow morning before 10:30!!!
:bassist::bassist::bassist::hyper::hyper::hyper::ninja::ninja::p:p:p:p

You are 100% correct :)

Cool! Looks like the NS-2 soulmate to my black & blue NS-4, also from Bass Central.
:bassist:

Yep! Someone around here should be seeing this on Monday I believe. :hiding: Hopefully we'll get some photos not too long afterwards... :hyper: (and no, it isn't me :bawl:)

On It's Way!!!

This group is awesome! I just got a little care package with some picks some Dava picks and Gravity picks.... I am very excited to try them all out... o and these awesome picks!!

Chris (Loe)... you are a good friend, scratch that, a great friend! Its cool that such seasoned bassists are soo supportive of someone like me

This group is awesome! Hope you enjoy them. I remember being in a band with a CD coming out 20 years ago and all the excitement that comes with that, I hope nothing but the best for you. Can't wait for all the Spector Club All Access VIP passes for all of us!!

Another example of how cool our group is....I get a surprise package today from Chris Loe with 2 sets of 'dental floss' gauged D'Addarios in it.....was a total WOW moment.....

Just another example of us looking out for one another and the respect and friendship we all have...

THANKS CHRIS!!!! You ROCK....(and remember, Spector basses have that 'punch' that rawwwwks!!!!!!!! You pick the accent for that one...LOL

You're welcome!!

Trust me I'd love to raise the bar. Problem is a couple of the other band members hear no problem with it. It's insulting really. When I listen to the mixes I always have comments about how to make ALL the instruments sound good. Apparently I'm the only one listening for the bass.

The sad thing is this will probably be the end of my involvement with the project. I know they are not likely to back up enough in the process to get the bottom end sounding better, and there's simply no way I'm going to put any more time or money into supporting an album I am not audible on. Rather than make them replace the bass tracks, I'd probably just let them buy my performance rights and leave it at that. What a headache.

That's heartbreaking. All that hard work and people just don't hear it. It's too bad you couldn't get a rough mix of it, mix it down yourself or with some friends and actually show them how much better it would sound with your vision of how the bass should sound.

That's a good idea, and will likely be part of my terms if the thing goes south. There's already been talk of each member getting a mix without their part in it for practice purposes, so I would just want the tracks sans bass so I could make a decent version for my portfolio. In the end that's more important to me than any payment. I still have all the raw bass tracks since I did my parts at home.

And your bass is stunning - so happy for you. You picked a great finish.

ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH!!!! Amazing work Patrick. Blood, sweat, tears, and God knows how many hours went into it and it shows. Congratulations!

Such a great site, no other Bass/Guitar company would provide you with a history website like this.

Well that's because no other Bass/Guitar company would be deserving of the honor to have Patrick spend so much time gathering the information and creating something so amazing. :bassist:
