Mine that I've been trying to sell is blueburst from 2003 as well, I was wondering why I've seen so many in this color. It's a beauty but I don't really like the EMG's with Tonepump, and my NS-2A is just killing it for me and so the Euro never gets played!

After a challenging couple of days (I'm fine...)

I'm in with my Kramer NS-2 and my new Woodstock NS-2.

I am stunned by how close the necks are on these 2 basses, I guess I got lucky.

Better late than never...

Thanks bro... but bad news... Because there's still a lot of other basses to get finished and setup, I opted to wait so some other basses (even though they were ordered after mine was) could get finished on time.

So who knows... perhaps next week. For the record, I ordered it in February. But part of my consulting deal is that I've also agreed that other basses will take priority over mine. And that's the way it should be.

PJ Rubal waited 2 years to get his NS-230, 30th Anniversary Bass for this exact reason.

I appreciated the call from PJ asking if I'd mind waiting this morning. And of course my answer was, "not at all" I mean, I have three beautiful USA Spectors here to play already. I can wait for number 4.

I am about to be down to 2 USA models for the moment... my BOB-4 is going back to Greg Felise, who it was originally built for. I agreed to sell it back to him (for the same amount he sold it to me for, of course).

And I'm jamming on the Bass Central website, hoping to get it finished in the next week so I can finally collect and get my gloss black NS-2 from them. :D And that bass will be my every-day Spector. :bassist:

Good to hear Chris. Necks are my Spector pet peeve. Before the shave, the neck on my Forte4 was quite substantial. I don't know who does the necks but I guess they were feeling energetic that that day:D I'm glad you are out immediate danger. Get better baby!

You know... this brings up a great point. I've been out a lot lately myself due to health and surgery issues.

But you make a great point. Remember all those neck measurements I've been doing? The data is very surprising... the average current Woodstock model is actually no thicker (at the thickest point) front to back than the average Brooklyn, Kramer or SSD model.

What the different is and why people think the Woodstock models have "thicker necks" is the sides of the neck.

I've been meaning to do a diagram and might get around to it soon. But the Woodstock necks do have more mass. But in all, are not really THICKER. They feel heavier because the sides and the curvature of the neck shape isn't as thin. This is to accommodate the Carbon Fiber rods.

Anyway. Glad you're happy! You deserve a great sounding pair of basses to help you heal. :D

Had practice last night...geez! I was super happy with my tone!!! Used my pseudo ns-2 (ns-2a)

I got it in on Monday and I worked on it a little yesterday during lunch. Anyway you can see the blue from the bondo underneath the white primer. The paint appears to be enamel which makes me think that whoever painted it painted cars or something. Fortunately it only seems to be on the top of the bass and the enamel comes off very easily. Seems that the bass was blue to begin with and other than the top is still intact under all the primer. I can't figure who in there right mind would paint over that beautiful flame.

When I saw the pics, I almost started to cry. But that flame underneath is going to be stunning when you're done giving it a good "facial scrub"/bass loofa'ing :D.
