It can. I have the same scale mis-alignment between D and A strings on my NS-2, where A seems a bit shorter (2-3 mm) than D, but the intonation is OK.

I've said it before and shall repeat it again...........i like "Epic Failure" To me the way the bass kinda drones in is cool..........and the way the singer kinda sings to the beat a little!
+1,000. That whole record is bad-ass. Nice to hear a Spector out in its wild, native environment.
Sadly, I can't keep my Forte and this MMBop. I have to sell one. This very painful for me, I feel that my Forte is a work of functional art. In my opinion it looks and sounds like no other. The fact that I am entertaining that very ugly prospect should indicate how amazing the new Spector ReBop-4 is. It's crucial!
I find that bolded statement intriguing, yet profoundly and potentially deeply disturbing to my checking account. Since these first started to turn up, I've been pondering something with a MM setup. Quasi-related but I was just looking at a used USA BO on the GC site with the optional MM. Still, the maple/blue matte combo appeals aesthetically to my Forte-preferred sensibilities. Statements like that are not helping.

Both basses in front of me have the D string saddle in an unexpected position, but the intonation is perfect on both. Never thought much about it.
Odd...all 3 of my basses are on a diagonal slant with the G being highest and B the lowest.

That looks like the seller on Ebay that has all those Spector's with beautiful finishes. Looks like your band mates found their actual store

Just a quick thought. The bass you are looking at on GC, the used USA bolt, ask Sam about that. I remember that....... or one just like that being available at a Cali GC last year. Not only is the pickup config different as it has the musicman, but I BELIEVE that neck is a rare Wenge neck. Sam might have a better handle on it. I almost bought that bass or a similar one to ease my transition from Warwick to Spector as Sam pointed that particular model out to me. If you get it please let me know. I think its a cool bass.........but I'm financially tapped out at the moment!

What's funny is that I went to that place during the summer, and couldn't find a Spector. This place is in Nakwon Music arcade which is three floors of musical greatness. Saw some high end Warwicks, but no Spector's. It is easy to get lost and side tracked in that place though. They literally have everything that a musician would need.

Do you mean in their placement relative to each other? As long as the intonation is good, I wouldn't worry about where each one is unless they're almost maxed out either way.
Man, woke up this morning stoked to play a show tonight and we're getting blizzard warnings.. Our drummers gotta drive in for about an hour and a half and it's looking like the highways are gonna be closed. I hate this snow sometimes!

You should see people on Vancouver Island. They're TERRIBLE in the snow. We get 2" and they panic! I'm more afraid of the drivers than I am the snow...

Haha, we haven't gotten too much of it yet, we're due for a good snow fall, but of course it couldn't wait until tomorrow, AFTER the show tonight.
But you're right, the mosquitoes are terrible out here. I'd always say that I'll take the warm weather over the cold, but when you throw those bugs into the equation, it's a different story. You can't even stand stationary outside for longer then like 30 seconds without being eaten alive!

All this bridge intonation talk got me thinking. I was looking at the bridge on my NS-2000/5 the other day & noticed that the distance from the anchor to the saddle is about 1/2" shorter than the distance on my ReBop5. This doesn't mean much on the ADG strings, but the B & E are going to be limited on which strings they can use. I mean, if there's a wider wrap, or a cloth wrap on the ends of the strings, that part's going to be sitting on the saddle. 
Has anyone routed a legend bridge cavity to support a Euro? This would alleviate my problem.

I loved that album. It's one of the few records I learned from top to bottom. In my opinion, the bass work that Muzz Skillings did on that record is as good as it gets. To bad he left the band, good for Dr. wimbish and the spector club though.
