Yeah, I see what your saying. She's a solid player no doubt, but if she did get big there'd be more of a push for her looks/image than her talent... Unless she reaches the Tal Wilkenfeld point, where she totally transcends that of course.

This makes me think she might have played another instrument first. Either way she seems like a natural.

I agree with Jeff too though that her looks might be emphasized, but you know that tends to happen anyway, male or female.

That definitely is a phenomenon.

I think it's all how you sell yourself. The guy who played in my ex-band from NYC after me has a much more marketable look and he's had great success getting into several national acts. His playing is very solid, no doubt, but I'm sure his looks helped him along.

Personally I just want my playing to be the focus, but that's not very exciting for the average music fan it seems. No ever accused me of having a six-pack of abs anyway. :)

I don't think it would be too budget, except for the finish wood selection. It would be awesome to have the Spector logo inlay at the 12th fret like MrBassie's.:bassist:

You can get the US 9v in the forte, but its a hefty upcharge, IIRC. The inlays are what save on cost also.

Has anyone tried the 18V circuit in a bass with P/J pickups? I believe it was been tried with the P at the neck and DC at the bridge but I am curious how that 18V circuit would sound in a Forte 4 to be honest. Hmmmmmmm :)

You know, that is interesting and I didn't even think of that. Maybe they were going for a certain sound on that bass since they put the OBP-2 in their bolt-on models but I would be interested in hearing the thought process on that .
