The USA basses seem to be spot on with the slots at the nut so I'm guessing some slight accommodations would have to happen.

Strange. When I look at it on my ipad, it says July like you mention. Just disregard what I said.....that bass does sound great

That pretty much seals the deal for me - I will definitely order a bolt-on fretless spec'd the same way but a 5-string. I would do a 6 but they don't offer the MM's for 6 string from what I've seen.

One of my buds at work has one of these cats. Freaky when you first realize there's no fur. Haha

In other news, I did my fist jam session with my Spector Performer. Was nice!
I was using my tiny Ampeg practice amp, with the controls in the mid range, and I was already sounding better than the other guy playing Ibanez's through his Hartke.
Everyone was impressed by my playing, and randoms said I sounded really good.
Was a good night tonight, and I've come away learning a lot more about the capabilties of my Spector.
Starting to get serious G.A.S for some of the nicer Spectors now.

Hello everybody, i need urgent help since i need to begin recording the bass tracks with my spector euro 5lx. The problem is that most string brands dont work with the bass since the B string doesnt fit! (the bridge is to thin)
So the question is: does anybody know a string set that actually works with the bass? I live in argentina so we dont get that many brands nor i can afford buying them abroad.

If they have DR's I usually can get those through the bridge - specifically Lo-Riders and Fat Beams have worked for me. Same with Dunlops. Or look for strings with a tapered end for the B string.
You can also try using some kind of vice to crimp and flatten the thick part of the winding near the ball end. Some guys even use a hammer to do it but I'd be too afraid to do that.
Where do you buy your strings? If you can give us an idea of what brands are available to you that could help.
Great playing but her Blessing is also her Curse...she will be pushed to make money on her looks(modeling/etc.)...and we all know she will make 1000x's more money with her looks than her talent. It's sad but true thats the world we live in...
She could be in a beautiful girl band like "Red Jane".
That definitely is a phenomenon.
I think it's all how you sell yourself. The guy who played in my ex-band from NYC after me has a much more marketable look and he's had great success getting into several national acts. His playing is very solid, no doubt, but I'm sure his looks helped him along.
Personally I just want my playing to be the focus, but that's not very exciting for the average music fan it seems. No ever accused me of having a six-pack of abs anyway.
So so very true...we are in such a "Looks" make it happen society.

Just watched this after reading all the comments about people saying how pretty she is.
She looks like Natalie Portman...and with that tone, she now has me GASing for a flippin' Music Man....BUT I hate their low B...guess I'm saving up for a MMBop...
I'm sure Gbass will chime in soon for details, but that is an Alembic Dragon Wing model (John Entwistle) with what I believe is a coco bolo top, & I'm pretty sure it was originally sold by Bass Central.

Just finished moving & it broke my bank. It will be quite a few months before I can get a new bass, and it might involve selling my ReBop5DLX or NS-2000/5 first.
Has anyone tried the 18V circuit in a bass with P/J pickups? I believe it was been tried with the P at the neck and DC at the bridge but I am curious how that 18V circuit would sound in a Forte 4 to be honest. Hmmmmmmm
You know, that is interesting and I didn't even think of that. Maybe they were going for a certain sound on that bass since they put the OBP-2 in their bolt-on models but I would be interested in hearing the thought process on that .
Ill second the 18V on a PJ!
Perhaps they decided on variety with the Aggie?
