I would really have a hard time arguing that this wasn't the best looking trio of Spectors in the club! Never get tired of seeing them!

So, I picked a beat in EZdrummer and dragged it into GrageBand and selected this basic flanger effect and started playing the opening riff. I played it and then just kept going with this totally improvised jam and it came out pretty cool for my first attempt at recording anything. I'm not at same level as you all, but this should give you an idea of what comes out of this old dude naturally. \,,/.

Hey dudes, thanks again for all the feedback on my first studio tune. Here is the second rough edit. This was the Amber/Maple board NS 2. The engineer had me trim a little treble but otherwise it's NS 2 > ADL tube DI > board.

The bass is definitely more buried in this tune. See what you think:

I'm in.
I always enjoy seeing the basses here. Some are works of art, some are "players". But we all enjoy them. Here are my Korean players.

I need to take some new shots!

Great stuff! I'd be proud if that was me and my band!

Make sure they get the bass up on the final mix but you seem on top of that. The guitar tones during the chorus could be a little better. They sound a little "artificial".

Sounds great, Lee! Unlike my track you can hear the Spector tone on yours and the playing is tight. LOL Good work!

Cool jam! That's what's so nice about having something like EZDrummer around to just let some drum parts run while you work out parts. Now, if you think you're ready for a little more of a technical challenge, there is a tool out there called Jamstix, and it creates realistic drum patters on the fly based on a ton of parameters you can give it. it also can drive external drum software like EZDrummer. The sounds Jamstix sells are just Ok but the real value is in its drum brain. I still haven't scratched the surface with the tool but when I run out of actual drum ideas I will definitely be using it.

Very nice mellow tune. Acoustics sound great too. I'd definitely like to see your bass come up in the mix, especially considering the tune is fairly wide open instrumentally so there's a lot of room for it. Since you're locked in with the drums so well, having more "meat" can only make it sound better IMO.

You are going to love the total Aguilar electronic package! The only con that I've found so far with Aguilar pickups is you can't get them as close to the strings as I normally like because of the open coils. When I first adjusted my Coda 5XL pups to where I like them my strings, mainly the B, would stick to the exposed coil magnet. Lol :eek: But I get plenty of awesome sound. It's really not an issue.

I have a question for you. I am in the market for a Legend 5 in Slate Grey. I have the opportunity score a new one for a good deal. How are these? Do they sound good? What's your take.
