I guess I really will throw this out there, delucajohn, you don't have any plans to sell that Green NS5XL in the near future, do you? I think thats the only one that could sway me from my custom route at this point.

Sorry man but I don't see myself ever selling that bass. All sentimental things about it aside, it really is just a great bass and feels great in my hands.

I've got a 35DC coming in the mail thanks to a TB member. Now I just need to score a second pickup for the bass and I'll be good to go! Really considering the P4.

Can anyone here comment on how those two sound together? I'll be running them with a BQC preamp.

Go for the p4 ask fat420 and Jon deluca, they both have that setup, I'm tempted to try it myself instead of the dual DCs!

I have the P4 in my NS-4 and really like it but that is with the 18V USA circuit. I think it would go great with the BQC though since I really liked that pre when i had it in my Euro 5LX and NS-JH5

Not sure of the exact story, but she's with the band for tour dates in three South American countries - Chile, Peru and Venezuela, I think.

Paul Turner is the bassist of course - but check out Marta's facebook for more info.

Marchone, definitely shoot bunkaroo a PM on his bass (the Kramer). Its a killer deal and all original with the US9V/Hazlab.

Mines a brooklyn era. okay, shameless plug over. check out my TB classified for further details. ;)

:hiding:

Thanks for the shout out. Mine is kind of on hold right now pending some other stuff happening behind the scenes which is why I haven't been bumping it. The thread is out there though if anyone wants to check it out.

I hope to know something this week one way or another.

As a note, you don't HAVE to splice your EMG pickups. :D

I did it using the EMG quick connects & the solder points on the little adapter they give you. ^_^

I tried flats on my ReBop 5DLX, but I found the B to just be too thuddy without enough clarity. The rest of the strings were great, though.

My ReBop likes to dive, a little bit, but using a suede-lined strap fixed that issue. It's mostly because of how light the body is. It's Alder, right, and fully carved and much slimmer than most Euros/Legends/USAs. Not your typical bolt-on with the slight carve & tummy contour. I love it, for that reason.
Which flats did you try? I know my GHS Precision SS Flats sure are not thuddy on the B string. Some other brands I've tried that are composites seem that way though. Everyone has their favorite strings though.

You've gotta put a set of dual 40Js in your NS2000/5!!! Best thing I ever did to my ReBop.
As tempting as that sounds...I have a Jazz bass already. I'm thinking a total "p" EMG 40/P 40/P  :bassist:

I've got exactly the same, I bought it from Todd last year. It's a rock machine. I'm absolutely in love with Kramer era Spectors, neck is nice and slim, very fast.

I've gone and done it! After a year playing my Spector Euro5LX I've placed an order with Todd at Guitar House of Tulsa for the masters in Woodstock to build me a USA NS-5XL. What can I say, I'm stoked. But I'm told it won't be ready to ship until November. That's torture but what can you do. You can't rush artistry! Getting maple wings with premium tube quilting with a walnut stain and an ebony fingerboard.

That is going to look awesome man - congrats!

Unfortunately the premium tube quilt can add some time to the build but once you have it, you know it will be worth the wait.

I am waiting patiently for my orders - hoping July will be a happy time!

GHS Precision Flats & BriteFlats. Also tried a set of D'Addario Chromes I had lying around. It's the break angle with the way the bridge is mounted. It needs to be recessed just a little more, so the saddle is higher. Would allow for a better break angle with the intonation point needed for the .125 flat.

Hey guys, after MUCH deliberation, I've finally decided the bass I'm going to let go to help cover the cost of the new NS-4H2.

I know most of you suggested I should keep this one, but my NS4CRFM with the Aguilar OBP-2 will be hitting the classifieds once I get around to listing it.

Kills me to sell any of them, but I have an end game in my plans. One I'm sure most of you can guess. LOL

Here's a a few pictures to remind you of the bass. It's awesome. Thinnest / fastest neck of any Spector I've played. Perfect balance. Beautifully flamed, solid maple wings. Brass bridge. And the killer Aggy. It's my blonde, poor man's Forte. :bassist:

I'm putting here for the club first, as I want it to stay here if possible. PM me for the club price.
