Black/White is all yours, as long as I can have dibbs on the Buckeye Anniversary model. :hiding:

That bass blows my mind every time I see it.

Maybe Todd could be persuaded to post pics of each, just so we have something to dream about....:)

Sorry, not that great of lighting. Just snapped them with my phone with normal home lighting. I'll try to get some studio photos for you soon.

anyone know what options their are for replacement pups for a rebop 5 string that fit without routing or leaving gaps.
I haven't even played the bass yet but I know it comes with the emg hz soap bars wich I do not care for,i prefer the sound of the p/j steup in my euro classic over most humbuckers and soapbars iv'e heard.

EMG makes replacement pickups built in the same housing the would have the P pickup under it as well as a J pickup. If you visit their site at: Invalid Link Removed then click on bass and the 5 string.

I know I havent posted anything here for a minute,but...Due to my temporary band-less situation,I may need to switch to a Euro35inch scale 4string for the current bands in my area's needs,bc of the drop tunings everyone im trying out for now,too many songs switching around on for just one 5string...Ive been "trying" to convert these bass lines using my 2012 Euro 5LX,and think a 35inch 4 banger would just make more sense for the new bands im trying out for now...If any club members maybe missing their G string, and may wanna trade me,Im totally down to discuss the switch back over to a 4string. My Euro 5LX is a satin black stain over a AA quilt,USA HAZ 18vt pre/w a killswitch mod,EMG DC's neck and bridge, black hardware. I prefer a rather thin neck profile, and this LX has it down, not as chunky as my old 98 trans green Pre EuroLX 5string,its just"right"!...I guess im looking for a 435 in around the same condition and open to color choices, but I gotta have black hardware! If anyone is into this maybe trade,my cell is 804-461-6848. I can send ya as many pics as you want and BrotherBassJ is my CLOSE friend, yall all hopefully know well. I believe he has some pics of my bass too. I did buy it from him a couple months ago. Thanks Jamie:) I never thought id go searching for a different bass after my latest purchase but a Euro 435 maybe the answer..Its just ive been on Spector 5strings for so long, but, maybe id be better off with some of these drop C and open D songs im learning for this new band,DARKITECT...RVA prog thrash-type o stuff....Facebook search em,and lemme know what YOU would do about playing this stuff on only one Euro 5string! The 2 tracks they have up are in open D,the other in drop C.. I think a couple of threads back, this switching up tuning issue with BUNK's group(AWESOME), was discusssed on some levels...Im just so on the fence here...Thanks folks,SETHRO... (Jamie Florin's Buddy).

Hey Joel, the wider spaced bolt-on 5's are very nice. I thought the wider spacing would be difficult to get used to as I don't like wide necks but I didn't have any problems at all adjusting to it. As a matter of fact I have one on order for our store right now. If you have any interest I can PM you a photo of the body before finishing. It is going to be finished in a color called black gold that I borrowed for PRS. Very killer color.

The pickups are EMG TW humbuckers that can be split into single coil J mode for some great J pickup sounds. The preamp is the Aguilar OBP-3 3 band active EQ and the bridge is going to be the Hipshot Type-A. All black hardware.

I know a lot of the guys here on the board have the OBP-3 preamp and can give you some good info on this preamp verses the 18 volt Spector preamp and the 9 volt Spector preamp.

If you contact LimaGuy he can hook you up with recorded samples of all the Spector preamps.

Thanks bassboy01 -- I appreciate the response. Do the bolt ons come standard with a coil tap?

Anyone else have experience with the USA bolt ons? Curious about how close/far they are from the signature Spector sound.

That's one of my favorite things about the US9V pre - its clean & clear up to 95% on the master volume, and greasy & gritty from there on up.

And I love that the circuit board on mine matches the color of my bass...

That PCB doesn't even look like it has solder mask on it. They must be building those things by hand, using ancient boards.
No wonder they're so expensive. Some of those components look like they were pilfered from the Smithsonian!
