Mesa PH412 in action.

Brooklyn NS-2, MXR Carbon copy, Analogman Chorus, Monique, PH412, no DAW EQ or processing. Straight tone.

For reference, strings are CK .140 drop tune set bass tuned to C# standard.

got my new zeebop today and i'm super siked, I can't get over how good this bass sounds I had read that the zebra wood adds some lowend punch to the bass but this thing is redickulus, the tone is way deeper than my maple top rebop5 and my euro lx4 even with the hz pickups, I can't wait to get the twx's in it

Let me tell you that is a sick looking bass, great buy...and...I agree, the difference in tone is worth exploring on the Spector basses!

Yeah although even if it had showed up the day before I left I doubt I would have had a chance to check it out too much.

Funny thing is I likely would have ordered a different finish if I had custom ordered one, but this one was offered to me and I jumped on it. Seeing the pics now I am extremely happy with the finish .

Your going to fall in love with this finish and have a story to tell about how you wouldn't have ordered it in this color, the BEM neck looks sweet with the Black Cherry.....here comes the bright tones BUNK so get ready to rock these basses!

Just thought I would ask the impossible ???

I would like to buy a clean original Kramer Spector 5 from the 80's made in Neptune New Jersey KRAMER factory.

I know these are RARE and several cats collect them, and MOST collectors will not sell theirs.

IF ANYONE HAS ONE FOR SALE I AM VERY INTERESTED.

PM me.

Thanks

Spiffy! We don't get a lot of Spectorcore owners here. Welcome!

bunkaroo has a couple of 5 string basses and a 6 string he is going to sell, I don't believe they are the Kramer years but you can always talk with him (he had a Kramer 4 string earlier this year he sold and might know someone with a 5)....

Nice collection. Dig the upgrades to the NS2a.

For bass cab mic'ing, I mostly use the D3. I also have the DP5 kit and use the D2 on the rack toms, D4 on the floor toms, D6 on the kick( not a good one for bass cabs), also the i5 works great on snare, guitar and bass cabs. D3 sounds the best for me on the bass cab IMO. The D4 is more full range than the D2 to capture the floor toms, the D6 has that metal scooped sound for snappy kicks and the D2 is less bottom more mid/high. That's what I get from using these mic's.

Our soundboard guy recently swapped out my vocal mic for a D3 and I LOVE it. It picks up the fullness of my deep bass voice a lot better.
