I am excited that the double box bass is done with refin, refretted, plecked, flush mount dunlops, new volume pot, and new strings setup for C# standard. It has shipped and will arrive tomorrow (I'm sure I'll pass the UPS guy on the way to work). They send a pic just before packing it up.

Yep, the only Spector w gold will be my black 435lx.

The Fender 100T + Bassman NEO 410 paired w the 2 435LX's has been the perfect setup for this band!

Yeah almost forgot in all the commotion! Had to pop it open and feel it for a minute before I collapsed with exhaustion last night. Just getting all my gear unpacked and sorted right, then it's plug in time.

And....how did it turn out or look to you up close?

Looks exactly as good as I thought it would. Pretty much the same tone in color as my black cherry 6XL.

Just jammed with it for a couple hours and it is exactly what I hoped for. I wasn't sure if the custom Spector MojoTones would be too aggressive but they're just right for my taste. The bass has a ton of versatility. I was very pleasantly surprised by the neck solo sound - very close to a P sound to my ears.

Oh and not surprisingly I can nail the "Luminol" tone from the record with this easily.

Oh and the UV 5XL is ships today. I just checked my butt for a rabbit's foot because I am feeling extremely lucky right now.

Sounds great, I liked the front to back thickness of the Coda I played at the guitar house (I have long fingers and the 1.5" width cramps my hand but the thickness and C shape felt very comfortable)...searching for the P sound then?

Thanks man! This was actually done with the tonehammer pedal- this and the TLC comp that I picked up a while back have really sold me on Aguilar's stuff, i really wanna check out their amps now. This thing is definitely gonna see a lot of use!
