Sounds great, I liked the front to back thickness of the Coda I played at the guitar house (I have long fingers and the 1.5" width cramps my hand but the thickness and C shape felt very comfortable)...searching for the P sound then?
I am excited that the double box bass is done with refin, refretted, plecked, flush mount dunlops, new volume pot, and new strings setup for C# standard. It has shipped and will arrive tomorrow (I'm sure I'll pass the UPS guy on the way to work). They send a pic just before packing it up.

I didn't get it to get a P sound, but I kind of missed having that tone available to me. I had a Lakland P5 for a little while that had a cool sound, but then the Spector thing happened so I moved it. I'm sure the neck solo sound from the Coda wouldn't fool a P purist, but to my ears in a mix, I think it will do nicely. There really are a ton of tones available from it.
I turned both pickups back on, boosted the treble a bunch and the bass not as much, and I could have swore I was listening to the recording of Luminol while playing those parts. Made me a little giddy!

Trying something new for an amp (Thanks Lee for your info!).
My new Tone Hammer 500 from BSO will be here tomorrow and my Aguilar DB212 (4ohms) will be here in a week. Can't wait to try this out with the band.
...NOT HELPING MY JAZZ BASS SAS...![]()
Forgot to mention, the the Mono dual bass case was fantastic. Really helped a lot since I didn't want to have the basses in the trailer, and the Mono case made it easier to keep it in the back of the van itself.
