That is awesome! It's like a Jackson Randy Rhoads / Spector hybrid. So cool indeed!!!

That is very nice! What wood did they use in the back neck/body position, is that just a stain or is it a splice?

I honestly have no idea what kind of wood that transition is. I know the neck is maple, body is walnut, but that additional section doesn't look like any wood I recognized.

Ah, OK. It's a modded NS-2A. Homemade job. He said that he had to use Hipshot ultra-light tuners to prevent neck dive.
In comparison to a U.S., it doesn't sound that solid. It's still cool to look at, tho!

That is way cool. It looks like the Carvin V (guitar) that I ordered out of the back of Metal Edge magazine back in about 1988. I distinctly remember going to the bank to take out pretty much my life savings at that point and handing it over to Mom so she could send a check to Carvin.

I hope that you actually receive your mm114. Many of us found out the hard way that a few websites that showed it on their website actually didn't have them. Hope you get it brotha, its a great preamp for that price.

Yeah pretty crazy. There's actually 6 pieces of wood glued on it total:

2 Maple headstock Wings
1 Maple Neck
2 Walnut Body Wings
1 Cherry Transition.

Actually 8! I forgot about the (scarf?) joint at the headstock, and the fingerboard!

Got to do the meet and greet with Lee today. Great guy and I brought the whole gang to show and tell. He has confirmed that the white Brooklyn was a beast and the UA NS-2 has now joined it's new family. Alas, I will not be able to test drive it till tomorrow morning because I am at work till 11:30 tonight. No pics of the meet and greet but here is the UA with it's new family and Lee is right pictures do this bass no justice.

HUMMM, I was counting Maple, Walnut, Cherry, Rosewood. I can see that you would include total pieces. Wonder what tone difference you would get from the Cherry????

Thank you!! The matte Euro is knobless for the moment. I just installed a US 9vHAZ in it and waiting on the black Alum knobs with black pearl to show up. Sounds good like a HAZ should with a slightly different flavor than the others.

Nice family picture, let me know what you think about the BEM neck you have added.

To all those who have talked about the Trim Tone Pump conversion to 18v, I would like to say WOW....... And thank you. I know that the wiring diagram was posted numerous times and I had saved a copy. I was going to bid on EBay for a NS-2A copy Haz until I found out it was a fellow club member doing it for his on stage professional bass. So I opted for the 18v Tone Pump upgrade. For me the sound clarity and punch was evident immediately. Ran through a couple favorites like , War Machine, Radar Love, Dreams by fleet wood Mac and topped it off with some Megadeth Holy Wars........... Everything on my SWR set flat and the Tone Pump at 65%, was amazing. So again, thank you to all those who have suggested it over the years. The ZeBop was growling and I like it.

. Yeah that's a sleeper mod for sure. Really takes the pump to a new level and most are quick to toss it. It really is a great pre, but sadly gets no love.
