Spector Club members, I need your help.
I'm looking to get a NS 2J USA - Bolt On. But, I would like to know what your experience is between the bolt on and neck through. What are the tonal differences, weight, playability and any thing else I should know.
The price difference is staggering and would like to see your opinions.
Thanks in advance for your help!
My white Euro may be next on the block - if I decide to sell it, I'll give you a heads-up first (complete with club member discount & cool-guy price break, of course).![]()

I had this same question/concern when I was buying my first US BO, but I can honestly say I LOVE my fretless US BO!! It is a high-end, boutique bass in every way!!! It weighs in about 8 3/4 lbs and is second to none in terms of build quality! I have an OBP-3 in my fretless and love the tones I get, but you can get them in just about every pickup/pre combo you could want. The only slight, and I truly mean slight, issue I had was that my bass was a bit neck heavy. I changed it them tuners to a set of hipshot ultralights, which were direct replacement without any modding, and now everything perfect!
I have bought/sold a LOT of great basses in the past 2 years, even a Forte, but I have ZERO plans to sell my fretless...ever!! I love it so much that in about 10 days I am making a down payment for my second!!![]()
If you are going to order a custom bass, I suggest Todd Cooke at the Guitar House of Tulsa! He's an all around great guy!
I'm starting to think about this fretless bass of yours, man I really want a Coda P-bass (if they start making them)...but...I sure could use a Spector fretless bass and it could step in the way of the Coda or maybe I just need to modify the NS2A!
I'm working on sound clips! I'm not gonna lie...it's pretty amazing!

...I'm in need of some new pics!![]()
I like the lines as well, but my next fretless will be unlined! Funny thing is I have been solely playing my fretless since it arrived and now playing fretted basses has become a bit awkward!![]()
Mike has some talents, this strap is looking great!
