SPECTOR® Club - Part 65

There are some good Spectors on the used market at the moment. Condolences go out to those pressured into their sales. I hope though that it give a chance for someone who needs a good bass to get one. I'll be putting one up for sale too in a week or so.

Well the good news is there is an appetite for US Spector bolt-ons. Mine sold just about instantaneously. The bad news is I have to say goodbye to it. I'm going to miss her!

Thank you Eric and Jim for your comments. Jim I would have loved to have kept this in the club but just needed cash so had to limit my trades to a Forte.

It must be hard. Hope it all works out in the end.

Made it back home after our out of town Casino gig this weekend - my first real gig in a LONG time.
Gig went well, backline was an SVT Classic and an Ampeg 410, even our guitarists couldn't believe the tone I got this weekend :bassist:
Spector + BDDI DLX + SVT = Tone Heaven.
Played the NS2A most but the Legend X got some playing time too.
Voice is shot from not singing a whole weekend in years but we had a blast and looks like we're going to start playing again regularly. :hyper:

Good deal! It's good to have fun playing, and even better to do it on a regular basis!!:bassist:

As a side note, I could have told you were in a casino just by the stage's carpet:eek: we're do they get this stuff?!?!?

....But that wasn't the bad thing: anesthesia affects everyone differently, much more so during heart surgery and I "lost it" for a few days...

- The day after my surgery, I got up, PULLED all the tubes attached to me and said, "If they won't start this surgery, I'm leaving!" and attempted to walk out. They had to get a bunch of people to restrain me (doctor said to me later, "you're a lot stronger than you look!")

- Didn't recognize my wife for 3 whole days. The first day she walks in and I said, "Who the hell are you?". 2nd day, I kept calling her by my younger daughter's name!

- I threw a kiss at a nurse and flirted with her IN FRONT of the in-laws!

- In a panic, I got up, LIFTED my gown and started screaming, "they cut off my penis, they cut off my penis!" (it was the catheter dangling).

- I called a nurse a "bitch" (I'm not very aggressive or confrontational in "real life").

- I saw dead people. No, seriously, I looked to the other side of my room and asked the wife, "Why are those children here? Kids aren't supposed to be on this floor" and she looked over and said, "there's no one there". I swear, and to this day I can still remember, I saw a lady with 3 kids around her clear as day!

Not to make light of the messed-up **** you had to go through, but that story right there is funny as all hell...:D

Morning All,
I haven't been on here in a while. I am sad to say that I have to sell Both my Spectors....Not for GAS but because life and Job issues :(
Sad to see them go but not so sad if they stay in the club.

So sorry - that just blows....

Having to part with a Spector before you're ready is bad enough, but those are 2 very personalized & very bad-@$$ Spectors.....

:rollno:

Glad you had a good time. My path is pretty similar. Spector NS2A>BDDI to power amp>Fearful/FOH. It always kills......

Thanks guys! One of the coolest things this weekend was my stepson and his girlfriend came to see us last night, he'd never seen me play since he wasn't of age when I was playing regularly before, so I gained some cool points too. :D

Gig went well last night. We started a little late and just played a 2 hour set with no break. 8-10PM. The organizer was happy, and the feedback they received was that we were the best received band. At last I heard they raised over $50K which isn't bad for a small community. Looks like we might get a few gigs off it as well. A great night. Here's few shots although on one my head was cut off, but you just want to see the Spector anyway. :bassist:

But what do you expect when the pix were taken by the drummers wife, I was just in the way.....

That is very cool, $50k isn't bad at all!

sorry to hear about the life/job issues you're facing TK!! If I had the cash, I'd be all over that spalted Euro! I've always loved that bass!

Thanks guys..It does make me feel bummed out especially cause I have the basses that I really wanted..But I will dust myself off and hope next year is different and I will be able to replace one of them next year (Euro preferably). ;)

Hopefully it will stay within the club and end up with a member that will give you first rights to it in the future.

I feel sorry for you brother. To get to this point, I know things are tough. I wish you the best for you and your family. I have been searching for a Wimbish, but the amount of money I have wouldn't cover the cost of what that beauty is worth. It looks absolutely spectacular.

Again, hoping for the best for you and your family.

Thanks for the info. The one I have was already shaved down. So im thinking it should fit. Lovin the tone at moment not sure I wanna switch out but its super hot with the emg x s in it.

I've got the EMGXs with the BQC in a Legend. With the thinner neck and nut width, it is extremely comfort, fast and the EMGS just rip. I love them. Dial back on the MXR blowtorch by about 1/2 when I switch between the Legend with the X's and the ReBop with the HZs.
