Bass is yellowing somewhat and has mileage but plays and sounds incredible. Just crazy ill decide tonite if im selling rebop or not. If I do it will be for club members only. Also will make decision on preamp tonite.

Ive asked before but has anyone dropped a haz clone in here and if so what was tone diff in general terms

Morning All,
I haven't been on here in a while. I am sad to say that I have to sell Both my Spectors....Not for GAS but because life and Job issues :(. I love both of these basses...I wont be putting them up in the classifieds for a few days cause I need to get some shipping boxes from GC. I just wanted to let everyone in the club know incase anyone was interested. You can PM me for any info. Both in new condition.

My special order 2013 Euro 4LX Spalted with the Doug Wimbish neck and no inlays and custom truss cover x2.

Sad to see them go but not so sad if they stay in the club.

A couple of band mates and I are heading to our nearest guitar center today, which, according to their website, has a used Coda standard fretless for sale. I fully intend on checking it out (even though its out of my financial realm of possibility for now), so if anyone in the club has been curious about the bass or has any questions, let me know and ill gladly try to answer them. This will be the first US spector I get to lay my mitts on- I'm sure it won't disappoint!

I recently put the Czech made Haz copy in my white Euro4LX. Compared to the Tonepump it has more higher mids. With any of the Haz clones, the pot holes will need to be reamed wider, that part was rather easy using a reamer. The big problem was the control cavity was not big enough to accommodate the board and I honestly spent 5 hours carefully shaving down the inside of the cavity and the board itself. Not sure of the size of the mm114 or Korean Haz in relation to the overall cavity size.

Its the same with the MM114, shaving has to be done.

Good to see you out playing brother!
I don't know what it is with casinos and putting the stage behind the bar.

That is a very cool stage, do you drop down to a loading ramp?

The stage at Downstream is in the middle of the building and once you check in you load all of your gear on carts then you have to walk everything up some steps and into the door next to our guitarist, you can look out over to the center of the building and see faces looking up from the gaming when you play your sets but have to look down on everyone at the bar...probably like your stage?

The stage drops down to floor level with a back door to the hallway that we load out of. When the stage is up there's a large black curtain behind us that you walk through to a break/dressing room with couches and a bathroom.

To be honest the stage going up and down was the only cool thing about the gig. I've since said I won't play there any more because 1. They make us play too quiet. 2. They supply the sound system and sound man and they butcher the sound every time. It's been a year since I've played with this band.

But I suppose you can't complain too much, or they release the cop car to fall on you?

Made it back home after our out of town Casino gig this weekend - my first real gig in a LONG time.
Gig went well, backline was an SVT Classic and an Ampeg 410, even our guitarists couldn't believe the tone I got this weekend :bassist:
Spector + BDDI DLX + SVT = Tone Heaven.
Played the NS2A most but the Legend X got some playing time too.
Voice is shot from not singing a whole weekend in years but we had a blast and looks like we're going to start playing again regularly. :hyper:
