Getting ready to head out soon. My band is playing the 7-9PM slot at the Relay for life in our area. I like to support a good cause, and there isn't many more important than this. I'll have both Spectors ready and able, but if the weather turns ugly I will be bringing out my POS Jazz Frankenbass and BDDI only.....We can sometimes get sideways rain out here and it doesn't matter if you're covered.

If it makes you feel better, I had my chest cut open and my ribs sawed in half for an 8 hour long heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm (my heart was "frozen" the whole time while a machine was pumping blood for me).
But that wasn't the bad thing: anesthesia affects everyone differently, much more so during heart surgery and I "lost it" for a few days...
- The day after my surgery, I got up, PULLED all the tubes attached to me and said, "If they won't start this surgery, I'm leaving!" and attempted to walk out. They had to get a bunch of people to restrain me (doctor said to me later, "you're a lot stronger than you look!")
- Didn't recognize my wife for 3 whole days. The first day she walks in and I said, "Who the hell are you?". 2nd day, I kept calling her by my younger daughter's name!
- I threw a kiss at a nurse and flirted with her IN FRONT of the in-laws!
- In a panic, I got up, LIFTED my gown and started screaming, "they cut off my penis, they cut off my penis!" (it was the catheter dangling).
- I called a nurse a "bitch" (I'm not very aggressive or confrontational in "real life").
- I saw dead people. No, seriously, I looked to the other side of my room and asked the wife, "Why are those children here? Kids aren't supposed to be on this floor" and she looked over and said, "there's no one there". I swear, and to this day I can still remember, I saw a lady with 3 kids around her clear as day!
And lots of other wacky behaviour from me. Now, I got all this from the family, I only remember the "hallucination", but it made for some good laughs afterwards - well, after I got over the embarrassment of it all, hehe. The doctor said I should stay real far away from drugs (not that I ever touch the stuff mind you, but he said if I had this reaction to anesthesia...), hehe.
But really, after that surgery I feel like I could handle anything. I used to get a little squirmish when having blood taken but now it's like, "Please, I've had my CHEST CARVED OPEN And I've SEEN THINGS MAN!!!!!"And soon after I was back at work, back to playing bass, working out and just life as usual.
So good luck and think happy positive thoughts. It will be over and done before you know it and you'll be back to life as usual, too - and pain free which is the important thing.

This cracked me up! Probably wasn't funny when it happened, but as far as things you can look back on and laugh are concerned, this rates right up there!
Yeah Ice its odd. EBRADFORD turned me on to it he wasnt thrilled with it. My GC guy did a quick set up and its just comfy. Stringbtension is a little for giving which I like and its boomin thru me Vamp pro. Cant wait to jwck it thru the eden. Then im gonna do the pre swap but may keep pups now. And use my SDs for something else.

This sure looks like the ARC6 that was on the GC site forever. I remember it starting near 2k and the last time I checked it was down to like $899. BIN at $1800, eh?

Good story. I was in a coma for three days after a motorcycle wreck. I was wearing all the gear so all I had was the head injury. No road rash or broken bones. But I kept getting out of bed, pulling out all my tubes and heading down the hall. My brother said it took 8 big orderlies to get me back in bed. ( I'm no he-man but apparently you get like super human strength when you're in a coma). I wound up with a broken pinky after that. That was my last escapade as I wound up tied to the bed after that. Four days after I was admitted with injuries that had me at a 5% survival rate, according to my wife, I was home. No rehab of any kind and all is good.
So like Relayer71 says it'll all be over before you know it and you'll be back to your old self again.

After hearing these 2 stories now I know why every doctor and nurse that spoke to me the night before my bypass surgery kept saying.
When you wake up please do not remove the tubes from yourself. Even before I was given the final dose of anesthesia, the anesthesiologist leaned over to me and said it one final time.
I stayed fairly normal mentally after my surgery at least I think so
My Heart was frozen for 2 hours and I was on the heart/lung machine keeping me alive.
Some theories are the particles from the heart/lung machine are what causes you to hallucinate afterwards.

Obviously all surgery is serious, but it really will be just like going to sleep and and waking up and your all fixed.
But we will be watching CNN to see if there are any Reports

That's Stuart signature on the Arc 6.
Years ago he didn't loop the r over the top over to the S like he does now.
See photo below comparing a signature from 2012 to 2008.
Also, remember that neck is Rosewood which is very porous
compared to what he is usually signing Maple
And the signing area would be much smaller on a Guitar headstock.
So I am sure he was a bit mechanical when signing it.
Also, Patrick knows the person who originally owned the guitar.

is the person trying to sell it on ebay. If you look at his other items for sale and his sale history he seems to sell "rare" musical instruments.
Notice he has this as a Rare Set Neck.
But the fact is that a USA Arc 6 either comes in a Set Neck or Bolt On.
I'm sure he just discovered that Arc 6 on the GC used site and just couldn't pass up the low price it was at. $899
As ebradfordrich mentioned it was on the GC site forever.
It started at $1,999 it was down to $899
The same type of thing happen last year in the opposite direction with this Arc 6. It was on ebay and sold with bidding for a price under 1K
A few days later it showed up here.

A dealer snatched it up thinking he could turn a profit on it. He has had it for a long time.
As we all know Spector's are known for their basses. Their USA guitars don't get as much love
So it is most likely that both of these dealers made a bit of mistake trying to buy low and sell high on on a Used Spector Guitar.
