SPECTOR® Club - Part 66

First - prayers and best wishes to ICE
Second - I'm in! Not only on thread 66 but also just got in off of Route 66 as the family and I moved from the Cincinnati area to the Southern California area and are now in our new home in Moorpark (near Thousand Oaks just North of LA).
Third - the drive across country with a Porsche SUV and a BMW SUV packed to the gills with about 30 bass guitars and other valuables that we didn't trust to shippers was a real experience that I hope I don't have to do again any time soon. Everything made it ok but we had our share if logistical challenges (i.e. do you leave over a hundred thousand dollars worth of stuff in the cars over night while at the hotel or do you pack it in every night and reload every morning...). If anyone is doing a similar move in the future ping me and I'll give you some tips and advice.
Fourth and most importantly - The Family pics...

I just looked it up after seeing you guys post about it. I had the 4th post in the first thread thus got #3. Both of those Spectors I mention are gone now (and I'd already sold my SSD foolishly), my 83 Brooklyn off to Todd! However, I have an NS4, Euro 4LX and 2 435LX's, so I'm not exactly hurting for Spectors these days!!!!

I don't have a Spector nor have I ever had the chance to play one but I just want to say that I visit this club frequently just to look at these basses. IDK how they play but they are some of the best looking basses ever. The Spector club has the highest density of pictures of gorgeous basses than any other club here on TB. I rarely gas over gear just based on pictures but all your post actually make me want one. Unfortunately I cannot afford a new bass nor does any place around here ever have any in stock to try out. Thank you all for sharing the art you all own.

I love your fiver, souljourn. One of my favorites in the club.
Thanks Joe, I was one of those who lurked in the background on these pages wondering if a Spector was for me. I don't get into the discussions much but I read every post. The myriad of posts regarding how wonderful these instruments are prompted me to look for one. This Spector was close to home and one of my favorite color options as well. One of the best decisions I've made. Awesome tone, great looks, comfortable to play, quality workmanship, Spector delivers!

Someday brother you will play one and never look back.

Hi everyone. I just acquired my very first Spector a couple of weeks ago! I brought her home and cleaned her up. After a new set of Cobalt strings &
a good set up, she's growling! It's a mid-Kramer era
NS 2 that I found hanging in a local store. Love this bass!

Well you can get an entry level spector for not a bad price at all. Especially used, which is what I would highly recommend. Yeah, you'll wonder why you haven't taken a chance all these years when you get one. Good luck and hope to see you join the club someday.

Some of the club members have basses for sale on talkbass or You can also go to guitarhouse.net to look at some of the stuff Todd has for sale, I'm sure something will pop up that fits your budget and then you will have your first Spector!
