Hopefully Spector will eventually move both height adjustment screws to the front of the saddle on the Euro bridges & and permanantly add the intonation screws.
I ordered one of the first ones a while ago (with the offset screws) for my CRFM, and it was not nearly as easy to fine tune as my USA bridge with its forward mounted height screws.
I actually like the old style bridges - they were a bit tricky to get dialed in, but once you had it dialed & locked, it was pretty much "set it & forget it" at that point, and IMHO, the no-screw look was clean & tidy.

They work great on the Euro, but not so well on the ReBop. Because of how high the neck is on the ReBop, while the bridge is still low, you have to swing the saddles up VERY high. Almost to the point where the set screw doesn't grab.

So I know I'm pretty light on the Spector front with just one (although it's awesome and a piece of rock history! ), but I just sent Todd an email with these stats:

Coral reef matte
BEM with black pearl inlays
black HW
EMG P/J 5 string set
USA 9V preamp

Excited to hear back. I'm just waiting to see what, if any, price point there will be on it as an NS5 w/ the standard 34" scale or the NS5XL with the 35" scale, as I'd prefer the latter. However, that Purple Daze finish is really growing on me... I've seen Phil Collen's Jacksons with that finish and it's very very nice.

Wow I think I would really like coral reef matte . Would love to see it.

Wilkie if that's happening you can always add a small shim to the neck pocket. if you do this just on the end away from the neck pickup it will decrease the back angle of the neck which will allow you to lower your saddles and keep the same action.

Wilkie if that's happening you can always add a small shim to the neck pocket. if you do this just on away from the neck pickup it will decrease the back angle of the neck which will allow you to lower your saddles and keep the same action.

With how tight the neck pocket is and how flush the neck lines up with the body, I'm more inclined to shim the bridge route. Keeps it aesthetically pleasing.

I already heard back from Todd and there's no price diff in the 34/35" scales, so definitely going 35. Still deciding on the finish, but at the end of the day I really like green and blue basses, so having the coral would give me those two plus a little extra!

I just checked ALL the Euro bridges and I don't see that anywhere. It does say "Includes the bridge, allen screw, and three mounting screws."

EDIT: Ah, I found it. You went through "Accessories". Sadly, when you click on EVERY one of those bridges, you're taking to the store site I linked (which has no intonation screw options).

correct. I believe you have to make a special request to get one with the intonation screws. I'm guessing they just haven't updated the options on the store portion of the site...but who knows.

I'm sure calling the shop or emailing PJ would confirm or deny this option and the possible upcharge for said screws.

Kill Devil Hill has a show coming up in my town (Mesa, AZ) and wasn't sure if it was going to happen, but finally got confirmation. My band, Icelus, is one of the local bands that'll open up the show!! Of course taking the NS2000/4 and can't wait to see Rex Brown, maybe I'll get a chance to chat with him about all kinds of Spector goodness.

Rex is a cool cat. And the guys in KDH, Dewey, Mark and of course, Vinny, are all really nice and totally pro.

Congrats. It should be a killer gig for you!

Thanks man, but I don't need the whole rod, just the nut. All those are complete truss rod assemblies.

It's a standard 4mm nut. If you go into a guitar shop, they should be able to order them. I can't find just a nut anywhere. :S

I was under the impression that they were all 4mm truss nuts. Nobody even makes at 10/32 that I can find.

Here is the reply I recieved from Spector:

Thank you for your email.
The original truss rod nut would most likely have been 4mm.

If the nut is just stripped and you are able to remove it.
Any standard truss rod nut can be used in it’s place.

The NS95 was Korean made back in the late 90's, and it seems that the 4mm 10-32 is the "standard" size for a truss rod nut.

I have found a few 4mm 10-32 thread Fender bullet style nuts on ebay and amazon... I was just hoping to be a little more sure of the fit before I take the old one out. I'd really hate to take it out and then the replacement not fit.
