Hey guys, we got our new music video done. I'm really stoked about it, I can't share the actual link because it is being premiered with a magazine (online) but I uploaded it to my personal page (low quality) so you guys can get a look the day before our release. Please don't share this on any social media. I hope you all enjoy it.

so when is this gettin on the radio??? VERY NICE..:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

Adam is right on this one... you could grab a Euro (non LX) or CRFM with a tonepump and it will sound really close

as a former tone pump pooper, I agree with confidence with the defiant one here. find a euro LX with a trim-pot tone pump and you will be very close to the HAZ sound. the HAZ preamp was almost $400 by itself WHEN you could buy it. now it just comes as OEM equipment in the $5000 US basses. even an older CRFM with an EMG BT preamp will still sound killer. but it may not have the inlays you want.

Your best buys are going to be either a NS2A that someone has upgraded the pickups to EMGs, They have a HAZ copy but no inlays

or a NS CRFM or early Euro (non LX) They are all maple also. Usually have a EMG BT preamp and will still sound like a Spector.

Big +1 for this. The preLX Euro 4s and CRFMs are an immense bang for the buck. They will hit all of your requirements minus the US9V Haz preamp, which you won't be getting into for less than several grand with a new US build. Swampy set me back all of $1300 and she's worth every goddamn penny. And then some. From my cold dead hands they will pry her. :D

Regarding the various preamps and configurations, as Lee would say, they're just varying shades of awesome. Swampy has a BT pre; my Rebop has a TP; my old Forte 4 had an outstanding Aggie OBP2 in it.

Hey all,

Looking at buying some kind of spector in the near future. My budget is $1000 (I'm selling my SVT to pay for this) and it must meet the following criteria:

Neck Thru
EMG active pickups (Humbuckers or P/J)
Gold hardware (Unless it's a white bass)
That wonderful inlay
Haz Pre

Any ideas? I want a Euro but I would highly prefer a NS5CRFM or NS4CRFM. I don't care if it's a 4 or a 5.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Pills

I would check the classified section, I think you know that the Haz pre comes on the American basses so the Tone Pump will be in these basses unless it has been modified....good luck with your search.

jammed the Euro4 with the US 18v tonight at practice... it sounds great. My strings were half dead, but man it sounded good. I was able to get a nice high end sizzle and the low end growls amazingly. It sits in the mix a bit more than the TP. I didn't do a direct comparison but the output is softer as well.

Jade will still be my #1 but as NOLA has said, it is a very nice alternative tone. My Euro might be getting back out in the live mix.

Donny,

That is what I really like about it, the combo of that super growly deep low end with that top end sizzle. The US18v delivers those in bunches!

Rob

So my building was broken into last night. The thieves used an entrance that is about 3 feet from my front door. Nothing was taken from my house, but others were broken into. Time to buy a crossbow. I am pretty shaken up about it.

I was hoping you'd chime in. Swampy is a perfect example of what can be found in the used market if you have the patience. Excellent snag, right up there with the Euro4LX I got from Jamie.

After playing Jamie's Euro4LX with the DC/18v combo, and now that I've got a NS-5XL (Mr. Brownstone) I am VERY sold on the sound of this pup/pre combination! I know Donny's using the P/J pups but that has to rock too I'm sure.

That sucks Kyle. A crossbow? I know you have to follow the law but... I keep a Glock 23 by my bed. Plus with two big dogs, nobody's touching my wife, me, or my Spectors.

Stay safe amigo!

If you're against firearms, I understand and ignore this post, but in my opinion the best firearm for home defense is the Taurus Raging Judge.
It can accept a few different types of round. The best IMO is the 410 with a #4 or #6 shot load.
Will still and hurt like hell, but honestly, won't kill them. Unless it's like point blank.
And it will barley even go through a few layers of dry wall.

The first two chambered would be those rounds. And if those dont make them run and crap themaelves, than after that, game on and it's a .45 APC.

Again, if you are anti-gun, I respect that.

It is a sweet setup for sure. soo punchy, it works well for a new song we wrote that has super heavy low riffage and a little slap/pluck in there

that is scary dude, I'm glad everyone is ok. I use to install security systems and I was called to a house who hadn't activated his system yet and was broken into. That dude was VERY shaken... I never thought about security the same again.
