In. I really need to get Spalty upstairs and take some good pics. It's such a beautify made bass. I can't imagine US built being made any better. Aside from the added US9V, but the tone pump sure has grown on me!

Thanks Donny! My former Legend with TPjr. and SSD pickups had lots of sizzle to cut thru the mix...huh. But it didn't always...the difference was putting a "Brass" string nut on her. Worlds difference, Kitty got TEETH! Lol IMHO.

Just think how much info on Spectors you'll have when it comes time to pull the trigger on buying one. Being well informed is a GOOD thing. Very NICE! This MM ReBop is the first black one that I've seen...matter of fact you don't see solid black ReBops much at all. How you liking it so far? Sweet Euro 4LX! Also as someone who's had and has USA stuff... it really is just the next level when it comes to Spectors. I never believed it either til I got my first USA... which happened to be a Brooklyn NS2!

It is an awesome playing bass,very middy,so i installed a BQC control so i could tame them down a little and fatten it up a bit.Overall i like it allot.It has also converted me to a maple board guy,so i will now need a Euro 4 with a maple board.

I'm in a little late, went to the Yonder mountain Harvest music festival. Seen a lot of cool equipment like old Fender twin amps, old Music Man amps, and old Ampeg stuff but noticed all of the bass player playing acoustic upright basses and/or Fender P-bass.
There is a rex Pro 5. I think Ron Harder has one. on the Spector site they're list under signature models, not Legend...

I am remembering that there are also hollow-body or semi-hollow body electrics, I think there is one in the Spector lineup (Spectorcore?) Does any club member have one? Fretless? Anybody comment on it and its ability to cop an upright tone?

At the Yonder mountain 'string bands' Harvest music festival I noticed a lot of bassists switching from the acoustic upright bass to a P-bass witch obviously had flat wound strings with the tone rolled off. You can probably come close to this sound finding some flat wound strings, use the P pickup, roll off the treble, and set the bass to what you feel.
Just sold mine, it is a semi hollw body, you can get them with a fretless or fretted neck, I thought the neck was very similar to the legend I had,with flats you can get an acoustic tone very easily, lots of variation with the piezo pickup.
One of our members has a SpectorCore 4 and is selling it in the TB classifieds. Don't recall if it's fretless or not.

May I add...With my Coda 5XL with flats, if you roll back the treble, add bass to taste, switch to Passive, it nails that upright bass tone.
