Quick! What kind is this? Sounds nice, one knob doesn't work, another is missing a cap. Price is 379. Says Czech Republic on back of headstock.

It's an old ReBop, before they started putting the crown inlays on them...where'd you find this one?

As long as you don't mind the body wear...see if you can get them down to $350 ;)

Send the NB number to PJ with explanation and he can give you the low-down.

Off hand it looks like a Rebop. It has (should have) a tone pump circuit. Is the knob just gone or is that pot not working at all. That's one of the tone pots (bass or treble, I forget) and if it's not working it'll need to be replaced.

You should open up the control cavity and look. Here's the tone pump...

You want the one with the trim adjustment. Look for blue in the pic. Sorry but I'm no judge on the price of this. Maybe one of the other guys could help on that, and hopefully verify what I just stated. :D

I wish those went for anywhere near that where I am! I'd take it & do a refin! I paid $800 for mine 2 years ago. :(

It's a pre-2006 Spector ReBop 5. Non-deluxe model. It will have a Tonepump pre-amp without a trim pot. A Trimpump is $100 new via Spector.
They're KILLER basses and I'd love another. :D

I love the wear! Just hate 5'ers.. :p it's at GC in Totowa, NJ. The one pot without knob still works - but the other just spins and spins.

Pre 2004 I think. I had the same exact one, same color. Everything. Amazing bass, GET IT!

Definitely pre-2004, in my freshman year of college a friend of mine had one exactly like it, and it was KILLER...unfortunately he developed a drug problem and ended up selling it to Guitar Center for a couple hundred bucks :scowl:
