Agreed. I keep having to remind myself that I'm just not a fiver-player no matter how good a deal is that I come across. And believe me, I've been tempted more times than I can count.

Can you post some pictures of the NS2A for us to see? Sounds like you have it sold to a number of club members!

IMHO I don't understand why any bass player would exempt a five string from their arsenal. If I had to have only one bass it would be a fiver. There are just times when the proverbial "brown note" is required!

I'm not ruling out the possibility of a four string in BEAD one day though.

Also, those of you who play four strings but tuned WAY down; I guess you get the best of both worlds! LOL

I can't do without a 5 string. What I generally play involves everything from the Low B all the way up to a high G (sometimes above). Even a BEAD 4 string wouldn't be good enough.

That being said, I keep 4 strings around for drop tunings that are easier to play with open D tuning (as an example)

I own a couple of badass 5's. A newly aquired Euro5LX and a Valenti J/MM5.
My Sadowsky WL4 and the SSD NS-4 both equipped with the DSL, get 90% of the my playing time.
Even on gigs where I would take a 5, I've been using one of the DSL equipped 4's.

So, while I could forgo owning a 5 with no issues, I still like to have one (or two) around.

But all said, I could dump everything and keep my WL4 with the DSL and be completely happy.

Hello Spector people .

I am wondering if there are any Spector NS-95 users out there and wondering what strings will fit this bass. Looks like they need to be 36 to 36 1/2 inches or so from the ball to the end of the windings , not much room for variation.

Ok NS-95 users , fess up , what strings are you using on this thing .

GHS Precision Flat wounds Regular Long, is what I used when I had a NS-95.

NS-5H2 P/J. Got it. It's beautiful. I really like the PJ set up on a 5 string.

My favorite pickup setup on the 5r also.

Me too. When I finally have the money for a custom build, I'm getting a 5-er P/J!

Quick! What kind is this? Sounds nice, one knob doesn't work, another is missing a cap. Price is 379. Says Czech Republic on back of headstock.
