My Dad was born in Brooklyn. I think he's looking down wondering why I don't have one. LOL :) (That's the best excuse I can think of. Think my wife will buy it?)

I'm glad it got there safe and that you are getting reacquainted. Wouldn't it be possible to remove the bridge and ream out the holes with a good quality drill bit? That way you can use the strings that you are used to.

Yeah, I'm thinking an exposed or tapered core would be the way to go. You can go to Bass Strings Online and search by feature as well as build sets. That is probably your best bet.

I like the feel. I dig pretty hard so that'll be a good thing for me! Especially in the moment. When I'm getting into it, I dig really hard and don't realize I am. It's one of those "I have to be conscience of it" to not dig so hard. :ninja::hiding::bassist::D:rolleyes::cool:

I had a buzz on the A string as well it was at the C, we decided to lift that string a little when I was at the Guitar House because Todd noticed my playing technique and made that suggestion rather than add relief to the neck....I think I was playing Lincoln Brewster Salvation is Here and that has a sloppy, aggressive bass tone.

I do try to keep the songs dynamics so I understand what your saying and when I said that I dig into the string it will be when the recording has that texture/sound...you know, sometimes they just want that sloppy bass tone happening! lol

Yeah, I got the heavy gauge. They are pretty heavy and I like that. :bassist::bassist:

That's funny. My daughters name is Brooklyn so I might have to try that reasoning. Somehow though, since I'm on a NS2A type of budget, I don't think it will fly for me.:D

So cool... Rudy Sarzo playing a Spector EURO4LX at the Bass Player Live concert this past weekend.

Not much going to top that off. He more than paid his dues in metal.

Ok. It's done. Minimal adjustment :) I can't wait to hear it loud. Man that .110 is going to be a beefy monster. I feel sorry for the guitards. :D

Looks like I'll get the tunes in the next few days, spend a few days learning some of the material and then it's on to the jam with the band.

...nothing is set in stone, but the music is right up my alley (rock/funk/jam type music) and they already have some pretty cool tour dates lining up for the beginning of the year! :bassist:

That's cool, I asked on our facebook page about song ideas and they posted over 20 tunes (some we already covered at one time) so I'll take the list to the guys in the band to see if they want to select anything, it's actually been very busy for us playing every weekend which has interrupted my Scotts bass lessons a little...lol
