For those of you who aren't familiar with my NS-2J restoration... It used to look like this after it was in "a little house fire".

All's good brotherhi iceboxbass, sorry for the late reply. wow this thread is busy. next thing you know theres a new one. btw, sorry i made a mistake. my friend , the local distributor made a mistake, he thought the performers from korea had pj pup config, turns out the label on the boxes had some typo errors hehe. when we opened the box, they had humbuckers. ... my legend 4x is mik. since korea is the nearest spector factory in asia, the local distributor had to order there first before exploring the euros and the us in the future. he is also the first spector distributor here. i believe im also the first endorsed artist in our country as well, though im not sure if there are other filipinos based around the world who are endorsed artists too. as for my band, we're called valley of chrome. as of this moment, we still dont have a music video of me using spectors. i just got converted last yearafter three albums, i am so late to the spector party

What's the genre'? That's cool that there's a Spector dealer in your local area now and it'll be even more exciting for you when he begins to carry some of the Euros and USA Spectors. Congratulations on your endorsement!
How did PJ discover you? That's quite the stacked rig you have Trace!Past. it's more or less finished. It could use a new neck to be perfect. It's like an Ibanez SR neck, now.
I have a thread on it here...

Yep Plays great IMO...
Thank you!
Say it like Bill Engvall's joke about cooking directions and greasing the bottom of the pan...

Is that your new 410 on the bottom you just picked up? Nice pic!Who could blame ya? After all of that work it's like family. And that's why I could never sell it.
A couple of videos, taken at a music festival in my country:

I really dig your music! What pedals were you using on both videos, particularly the second video?Trace... Can't say as I remember you posting this much. It's a good thing.![]()

Oh man TraceSeriously though. I get to catch up on what all my Spector Brothers have been, are and, will be doing... I like it. I have been so busy for so long....
I got Rocksmith 2014 a couple weeks ago.... then I had to spend 800 to upgrade my desktop to play a 50 dollar game... Check this.
Rocksmith didn't like my Nvidia 9500GT video card![]()
so I went out and got an 760GTX card.
The new card doesn't fit on my mother board.
There's a power 24pin powerplug plug in the way.
Went and got new motherboard. Doesn't support my 3.2 Ghz cpu so, got a new core i5 cpu.![]()
and I need 8 Gigs of DDR3 ram to boot.
New motherboard doesn't fit my atx case.
Got new Eleven Hundered full case....
installed new motherboard, CPU, 8Gb ddr3 ram, Nvidia 760GTX video card, SATA HDD and optical drives Blah blah blah right?
Power supply has only a 4pin plug for the CPU power that NOW requires an 8pin plugto power the smarter, faster, more powerful cpu...
Ok got new power supply with 8 pin power for cpu and double 6 pins for video card
Done ,... right? NOT!!
You can't take the brain out of one body and put it in another without problems....
Windows doesn't like all the changes and won't start up.
Had to reinstall windows and it was still updating drivers when we left on vacation 2 weeks ago!!!
All that so I can play Rocksmith with my SPECTOR bass...![]()
So, I got a response back from Todd. I was right on my assumption of the ReBop 5DLX neck being $350 +shipping/duty/tax.$461 for the neck of a bass that's only worth $8-900. *sigh*
Can I ask a favor of you guys? If you see a Rebop5 or Legend5 come up for a ridiculous deal (sub-$400), can you let me know? ^_^
THIS^ I know some guys on here have put more $$$$ in their Spectors than their market resale value i.e. JPS, with his NS-2A that has been converted to fretless, USA brass bridge and a new paint & finish job. Like what was said...what's its value to you my brother? Do you plan on keeping it?You have to ask yourself, not what the bass is worth, but rather, what is it worth to you.To me,a great playing spector is worth more than any dollar amount.I hope this all works out for you, and if i had a rebop neck laying around, i would give it to you.
Sounds like a lot of fun and a great training tool for bass playing. And you get to play your own bass instead of some ridiculous plastic guitar with no strings.Yeah, I picked it up on Steam also when they had that big holiday sale. I needed to get the guitar cable though so I picked one up from Ebay which got here the other day.
I was messing around with "Knights of Cydonia" tonight and they start throwing some serious notes at you real fast which is something I need to get used to in the game a bit more. By the time you look down to make sure you have the fingering correct, you could be missing a bunch.
You won't regret upgrading your system Trace. The game is really worth it and I haven't even bought any DLC yet since there a bunch of great tunes that come with the game itself. I will most likely buy the Muse, Iron Maiden, and Pantera packs though since they all have great songs included in them.

I googled this and all I found was something for guitar, no bass.
It's definitely for bass also. The original version that came out in 2011 was guitar only in the beginning but they came out with a patch that added bass. The new 2014 version that came out in October of 2013 had bass built in from the start.
The great thing about this game too is, it's not just songs. There is a whole technique section that has all different things you can work on and there are even bass only things like slapping and popping as well.
I haven't even tried the session mode yet which looks really cool. You have a whole band to play along with and you pick a particular scale to jam with so that sounds very interesting. I know I keep going on and on about this game but I am having so much fun with it and it gave me that kick in the rear to practice more since I was slacking off.
EDIT: Here is a Youtube video of someone playing along to "The Spirit of the Radio" just to give you an idea of what it's like.

I guess this is a Spector Legend?

Huh?!?!Talked to Todd yesterday and once again, he's the man! After going back and forth with Hanser on a fretless neck for the Legend I have coming they finally quoted him $349! That's only $6 less than I paid for the whole bass!
So he calls Spector and "voila!" he finds me a great deal on a new fretless neck they just happened to have there. And Jimmy did confirm it will fit my Legend. Score! Todd comes through again!
Thanks Todd!
The legend 5 fretless neck Mark Sharp quoted me was $225.00...Thats a big jump from what I was quoted.
I hope the Spector shop gave you a better dealThat's cool! Thanks JohnExactly. That is what makes it so much fun and it is amazing how accurate it is with the notes.

That would be a PerformerI guess this is a Spector Legend?

Performer. Chinese made. NS-2000 Flat Body.
The gold colored Double-S is the best way to identify these.
Only Chinese-made Spectors have the gold colored Double-S on the headstock.
For sale here locally for $200 -- gotta be a good deal, right?

Not bad at all- brand new they're like $390 (lowest price I saw). Depends though on the condition- if in great condition- excellent buy.For sale here locally for $200 -- gotta be a good deal, right?
