For those of you who aren't familiar with my NS-2J restoration... It used to look like this after it was in "a little house fire".

Holy crap! That thing took a bit of a beating! Is this restoration going on now or is it a past project? Either way, I want to know how it turned out. That poor bass. And of course the rest of the house that was damaged. :(

OH man Trace... Wow! Hell'uva job.

I am a fan of this kind of wrecked basses. Looks like straight out of Fallout :) great.
Burnt and scarred, wow man I somewhat envy you if it still plays good.

Post apocalyptic for sure.

hi iceboxbass, sorry for the late reply. wow this thread is busy. next thing you know theres a new one. btw, sorry i made a mistake. my friend , the local distributor made a mistake, he thought the performers from korea had pj pup config, turns out the label on the boxes had some typo errors hehe. when we opened the box, they had humbuckers. ... my legend 4x is mik. since korea is the nearest spector factory in asia, the local distributor had to order there first before exploring the euros and the us in the future. he is also the first spector distributor here. i believe im also the first endorsed artist in our country as well, though im not sure if there are other filipinos based around the world who are endorsed artists too. as for my band, we're called valley of chrome. as of this moment, we still dont have a music video of me using spectors. i just got converted last year:) after three albums, i am so late to the spector party:)

Having been a firefighter for 19 years, I can honestly say, I'm amazed that it looks that good. Most people don't realize the destructive power of fire, even a small bedroom fire, in all reality, destroys the entire home with smoke and heat damage. The thing that real surprised me with your photos is that the heat was high enough to melt the truss rod cover, but the glue holding the neck pieces together didn't come undone. Usually the biggest failure point of woods in newer homes is the failure of glue lams. Glues melt at a very low temp, so to see a bass take on that type of heat and stay together is amazing and a great testament to how Spector builds their basses.

Past. it's more or less finished. It could use a new neck to be perfect. It's like an Ibanez SR neck, now.

I have a thread on it here...

Thank you!

Is there such thing as a "little" house fire?

Say it like Bill Engvall's joke about cooking directions and greasing the bottom of the pan...

Trace, does your Ian Hill have the TonePump in it or did you swap it out for something else? I can't tell by those pics if one of those knobs is stacked or not.
Let's see.. It's either the BTC or BTQ and my NS-2J has the other.
BTQ I think as it is a newer preamp and it is a stacked mids sweep.
