I wish I had money and you were closer I'd take that SWR, it'd be a nice pair with my fender 610 pro

I can ship it. It's spendy to ship but,
you do what you gotta do to get what you want.

I pay about 250-350 for the 1048, 1518 or 1528 TE cabs then about 125-150 to ship it. I had 4 of each cab at one time before my divorce.

Yup, active switch is on, and I'm running the gain on my tone hammer DI pedal really low, too. I'm gonna try the pickups and throw in another new battery later, my Green Euro is scheduled to arrive tonight again so I'm hoping I can compare the two (the green should have the OBP-1).

Ok cool. Was just checking. Ya know it's always the one small detail missed that causes us to spend money! Haha

She took your bass equipment!

Ha! No. I sold it to fund my escape back in 2004. But I think I just bought the AH1200SM back last year. A couple details about it are the same issue as my previous one. The way a certain screw in the back was installed and a sticker on the black light tube.

No doubt! Turns out my bass isn't out for delivery AGAIN. It's been here since the 2nd and they can't deliver it. I'd pick it up but its across the city and they close really early. I don't have a vehicle either, so that makes it really tough. Definitely not going to be going with UPS ever again.

Best bass head ever built! Sounds great and can power anything!

Talked to Todd yesterday and once again, he's the man! After going back and forth with Hanser on a fretless neck for the Legend I have coming they finally quoted him $349! That's only $6 less than I paid for the whole bass!

So he calls Spector and "voila!" he finds me a great deal on a new fretless neck they just happened to have there. And Jimmy did confirm it will fit my Legend. Score! Todd comes through again! :bassist:

Thanks Todd!

That is great Jeff, Todd always finds a way to make things happen....and....he has connections...kind of like he is part of the Spector mob!!! lol

Sorry to derail, ha, so I use a RAH350SMX at my rehearsals and it is a beast of a head. I remembered the first time I jammed with it, I had the mute button on and was trying to get some volume, had it at about 4, realized the mute was on, disengaged it, and proceeded to practically blow the windows off the room!! Was not expecting that!! Haha good times, but yes super powerful power section.

I just can't believe the OBP is still this hot. I swapped my non trim TP for the OBP-3 and I'm still needing to run my gain down at like 8:30 on my amp.

I got an OBP3 in one of my EURO4LX PJ's (wired 18v) and a Legend 5 (wired 9v). They are not blowing up like you describe. Are your pickups close to the strings? If you crank the MIDs all the way, your going to need an amp that can handle the aggressive MIDs. They are heavy. Also the bass is huge. Set flat and go a little from there. That can also be the culprit

I opted to get my OBP-3 hooked up without the mid control because my other basses were all 2 band EQ basses and I wanted to stick with that. I now wish I would've gone with the traditional 3 band 2 volume setup. I was thinking of maybe trying the 18 volt setup on the Euro 5 too but there isn't much space in the compartment.

I had a tech do the install on my bass and I think that was my first mistake. I'm not too great at the DIY setup stuff but my dad is and I really need to watch and learn. I'm gonna sit down with him in the next few days and re do the wiring of my OBP-3 the proper way, then I'll report back.

That's the only thing I can think of, I checked the speakers in my cab today and everything seems fine.

Getting ready to play our first set of shows for the new year starting Saturday, excited to add some new songs to the set...we added Abacab by Genesis which we worked up with guitar and bass because we don't have keyboards (a little more rocked up and a version of our own!) We also added Tom Sawyer from Rush, this song was pushed off the set and I'm glad its back...cool song!
