I've really been leaning towards 2x EMG 35Ps on the next bass but I'm still open to other pups. Be nice to hear them through a USA 18v though.

I actually already have a Rex on the way that I'm planning on trying some different 35 pickup configurations with, P/P being among the bunch, and I''ll be dropping a 18v circuit in in as well....seems like the year is off to a good start ;)

Great! Please post a sample of the P/P thru an 18v. I'd love to hear that too.

It'll take a few weeks, the Rex won't arrive until next weekend and Woodstock is out of 18v's at the moment, but I'll certainly keep you posted...I've got my fingers crossed that PJ put one of my build suggestions into practice in that there is actually a US 9v pre in that SS Forte :hiding:

I'm going to play my new Walnut NS 2 for the entire show. That bass is quickly becoming my number 1 and I refuse to leave it home. Have a great show!

I'm glad this is becoming your "go to" bass. Not that your Brooklyn isn't special but...
Also glad you don't subscribe to the "this bass cost too much to take out in public". I love taking mine out... then again my four and fiver are my only basses (at the moment). LOL

What kind of music are you playing? We are a cover band and the shows we have book are for the first quarter of the year, we also play the outside festivals and events during the spring and summer months.

Rock cover band in Rochester NY. The name of the band is "Download"

The Facebook page is: Downloadband Rochester

I finished the routing & wiring on my P-bass w/ Tonepump. ^_^
I copied the Spector ReBop backplate and am currently cutting out & painting it.

I've decided not to go with the knock-off chrome Spector-style bridge, though. Instead, I've ordered a high mass with rails from Bezdez on eBay. It should be here in about a week.

I can't wait to try this thing out at my next jam. :D

I even used the Spector knobs for that extra pop ^_^

Yes, the bridge is tilted slightly, but that will be fixed when I put the new one on in a week or so.
