Man, I wish I could find any Spectors for that price. lol I always miss the good deals and locally people try to sell them for close to new (every used thing in my area is like this).

Samick's control layout is different on the NS-2As they made.
The first few years, before Samick, the VVTB were in a diamond shape.

That red one is my old bass... that is actually my picture lol. That bass played awesome and sounded very cool. Smoother than most NS-2As which might a little less undesirable but it sounded great.
It looks like a nice bass, but the controls being tilted like that confuse me. lol
Something unexpected happened today. I'm on vacation with the familiy in Florida, and while driving, I mentioned SpectorHang 2014 to the wife and told her all about it and she said "that sounds great, are you going to go?" I was pleasantly surprised to have her on board. Now, I just need to make sure nothing comes up with the kids between now and then and I may just be making the trip. 
So the question then becomes..... which Spector should I bring.... Spalty or the new NS-4MM?

Anyone have a wiring diagram for a Tp wired blend volume? I got the new TP in for my Euro and I don't want to do vol vol. My plum Euro had a blend. Also need a link to the blend pot. Thanks
It's relatively easy.
Use this diagram for the Vol/Blend & connect the white lead from the Tonepump to where the black lead is coming out of the VOL pot. Then, ground the black lead from the Tonepump to wherever you're grounding your leads.

450 is on the low end of the scale...I paid a lot less for my former Cherryburst though. Lately they've been fetching $600-750+. I beat ya I paid less than your black oneNo. Not for a black one stock anyway.

A word of warning:It's relatively easy.

About 6 months ago I found out the schematic on the Spector site for TP/blend was wrong, dead.
Between trial and error and revisiting my other TP/blend equipped Spector, I was able to dope it out.
I brought it up to JPS, who was supposed to get it changed, but I don't know if he did.
Without locating the (correct) schematic I drew, I don't know if that's still the same, incorrect schematic on the Spector site.
I know that my Plum had the blend and my matte Euro came with the BQC but because I am going to sell it, I would think that someone would prefer the TP and back to stock. I'm sure that whoever buys it would like Vol/Blend over Vol/Vol. If you find the correct schematic let me know
Am I the only one underwhelmed by the 8-string in the new Spector models video?
I have a Schecter Deluxe 8-string that has essentially the exact same bridge, its got EMG-style soapbars made by the bass manufacturer (like the SSD soapbars in the Spector 8), and a mediocre 2-band EQ (like the tonepump Jr.). The Schecter isn't bad with an improved preamp and actual EMG pickups, but I'm kinda disappointed that Spector's offering is pretty equivalent to the Schecter, instead of being significantly superior like Spector usually is.
I mean, the only significant difference is the shape of the body and neck, and the finish.

Tonight was the first time I'd played bass guitar with any brass instruments, Baritone, 2 Trombones and 2 Trumpets. That was really different. We're practicing together for an Easter cantata where there will be a choir, Grand Piano and a table full of silver bells, at our Church on Easter Morning Service. Challenging right now but still a lot of fun
