If any of my brothers here have a matte finish Euro lx 35 or know someone who does, that wants to sell it,i am looking for another one.I would prefer a black one with TW pickups, but that is not a requirement.

Tonight was the first time I'd played bass guitar with any brass instruments, Baritone, 2 Trombones and 2 Trumpets. That was really different. We're practicing together for an Easter cantata where there will be a choir, Grand Piano and a table full of silver bells, at our Church on Easter Morning Service. Challenging right now but still a lot of fun![]()

Nah...8 strings doesn't excite me right now, but, I've never found the TPjr mediocre. It has a really good tone to it. I wish Spector would've called it a different name as I wonder if it gets stigmatized as being inferior to the TP because it's a Jr. It's used widely by big name professionals on stage worldwide. I never found it lacking in the tone dept.Am I the only one underwhelmed by the 8-string in the new Spector models video?
I have a Schecter Deluxe 8-string that has essentially the exact same bridge, its got EMG-style soapbars made by the bass manufacturer (like the SSD soapbars in the Spector 8), and a mediocre 2-band EQ (like the tonepump Jr.). The Schecter isn't bad with an improved preamp and actual EMG pickups, but I'm kinda disappointed that Spector's offering is pretty equivalent to the Schecter, instead of being significantly superior like Spector usually is.
I mean, the only significant difference is the shape of the body and neck, and the finish.

Then the NS-4MM if only oneHahaha! Forgot to mention I'll probably be flying, so may just be able to bring one. But, I'll bring em both if I can pull it off!

Definitely up for the challenge, that's what makes bass playing fun. Reminds me of the band Chicago but without electric guitars. Lol The song was written for the old big Organ but since our church doesn't have one our music director thought of me & Big Blue. That sounds like a lot of fun and i am certain you are up for the challange.![]()
Tomorrow I sit in with our choir & piano. Maybe, just maybe, after this I might look into finding an opening playing bass for an orchestra...there an Opera House in Wabash just 15 miles from me. HmmmThat's too badHey guys doesn't look like guy wants to ship so for those of you in the Phoenix area it's on CL. 450. Nice sunburst even though I'm not a sunburst fan. Kinda bummed.
Someone brought this up on Facebook and I thought it was a great idea. How about the next Spector EuroLX Special Edition (SE-6) is a copy of PJs Black NS-2 #603!
Solid Maple Wings, Ebony Board with "Kramer Era" profile and Gold Hardware! Sign me up for that!View attachment 402705

Would anyone here with a 'Kramer era' neck profile bass care to fill in this chart:

My 'Kramer era' Spector NS-2 has the exact same neck dimensions as Patrick Stern's Brooklyn era #739.

Something unexpected happened today. I'm on vacation with the familiy in Florida, and while driving, I mentioned SpectorHang 2014 to the wife and told her all about it and she said "that sounds great, are you going to go?" I was pleasantly surprised to have her on board. Now, I just need to make sure nothing comes up with the kids between now and then and I may just be making the trip.
So the question then becomes..... which Spector should I bring.... Spalty or the new NS-4MM?
Maybe someone in the area would be willing to go get it for you and ship it to you if you were willing to prepay him.
Kind of a proxy type thing.

A word of warning:
About 6 months ago I found out the schematic on the Spector site for TP/blend was wrong, dead.
Between trial and error and revisiting my other TP/blend equipped Spector, I was able to dope it out.
I brought it up to JPS, who was supposed to get it changed, but I don't know if he did.
Without locating the (correct) schematic I drew, I don't know if that's still the same, incorrect schematic on the Spector site.

Hello fellow bassplayers,
I need to rewire the preamp of a Legend Custom, (EMG MG B30r3) which has been removed without taking any kind of photo.
Can anyone send few photos of the electronics compartment and / or a schematics if available ?
Many thanks!
