Nicely done Jeff!

Hey guys, this might come as a shocker but I am putting up about 9 of my USA Spector instruments for sale. Having 116 Spector's have taken it's toll on me this winter. We've had a really dry winter and it takes a lot of work keeping all of them in excellent condition. I have a lot of great pieces I'm selling so feel free to check them out and ask any questions you might have. I am even selling off 2 NS-6 Spector guitars from the Kramer era. I know, I've lost my mind. Take advantage of it while you can because most of you know I hardly ever sell anything from the collection.

I did put them up on GuitarHouse.net for ease of viewing. Once you are on the site then go to the search box and type in Used Spector . They should then pop up for you to view. If you click on the instrument it will take you to another page. At that point just click on the picture and more views will pop up. I will be offering club pricing if anyone is interested.

MAN...Jeff, Thank You very much for the art and posting the Spector Hang 2014 information. The TalkBass Spector club has a lot of talent and I'm always very happy about the kindness of each person in the club who has stepped up and done so much, I mean...even the guys who have offered rides to those who might need it! Once again thank you for keeping us informed Jeff.

Help / Advice needed! (If this is the wrong place for it, please feel free to move it) I am looking at a Spector 5-String tomorrow that is posted on Craigslist, and all I was able to find out is that it is Korean, active circuit, has 2 EMG pups, and is about 8 years old... Allegedly it was $1800 new, but not sure I believe that one..... It is supposed to have a 'FLAM' top and it is marbled black and blue. It does have the OHSC.

What should I look for - be on the look out for? Any specific weak points?

Thanks! I appreciate it.

If it's a Korean neck-through 5 string it's an NS-2000/5; great basses, but shouldn't go for more than $500 used.

Do you have any photos of the bass?

Craigslist in Minneapolis? (You're profile says Minneapolis, MN) :D

Looks like a Q5Pro, Quilt Maple top and certainly not $1800 new. As mentioned the NS2000/5 is a great bass, and this one looks pretty cool too. Price, not too sure...might be ok with case...says OBO..

Yep looks like a Q5, which is the pre-Legend Korean bolt-on model...a fine bass, but nowhere near $1800 new...

He's asking for $400 OBO, personally I'd offer $300 assuming the electronics all function as intended and the neck and frets are in good shape.

It was that bass that made me get my NS5XL in walnut stain.

Yeah, I really dig that finish. As pretty as the Ultra Violet is, it is just too purple for me! The sunburst Todd has in stock right now and that Wimbish in the walnut stain are right up my alley! Yours walnut 5xl is stunning!
